Trump lashes out at George W. Bush and Obama By: CNN Political Producer Shannon Travis

Palm Beach, Florida (CNN) – Donald Trump has more harsh criticism for one of the most recognizable men in the world: George W. Bush.

In a display of bipartisan bashing, Trump lashed out at the nation's 43rd president as he criticized the 44th.

"George Bush gave us Barack Obama. If it weren't for George Bush, we wouldn't have Barack Obama," Trump said on Friday. "So I'm not thrilled with George Bush."

The billionaire real estate mogul made the comments at his famed Palm Beach estate Mar-a-Lago that sits on 20 acres and boasts 126 rooms. The star of NBC's "The Apprentice" spoke to reporters in a hastily arranged news conference moments before a posh, poolside party at the estate and hours before he was to speak at a Tea Party rally.

Trump was pressed to explain his comments.

"Because he[Bush] didn't have a great presidency, especially at the end. And because of his actions, and because of his aura, it was very tough for a Republican to win," Trump said. "And in all fairness to John McCain and to Sarah Palin, I think it would have been very, very tough for anybody – for Abraham Lincoln – to win after having followed George Bush."

A NE RINO. Plain and simple.

He's the crazier version of Romney. Though I doubt Romney ever called for Bush to be impeached.

One good thing, from now on when I see some jerky Freeper blame Bush for Obama’s election I can call them a Trump Chump.

I like that. : )

tshaunk, Bush's deficits of $200-$400 billion (not including TARP in 2008, that Obama supported and voted for) do not compare to Obama deficits. Bush's deficits were about 1-2% of the GDP at that time. Obama’s deficits are in the double digit range. Unforgivable and NOT comparable, unless you are a Trump Chump. I had to get that it in, FRiend. : )

Bush didn’t have the balls to cut spending, even with a Republican Congress. It should’ve been easy for him. But his liberalism and tendency towards outright socialism (Medicare Part D, No Child Left Behind) showed us what he was really made of.

Something tells me that The GOP Establishment enjoyed the Bush Years a lot more than Conservative voters did. Anything for a buck, these “GOP Leaders”, shysters more likely, sold us out.

Donating to and voting for someone is different than being pleased with the job they do.

Right....because there’s never been donors/voters remorse in politics.

He sure is; Bush gave us Obama is the argument of a five year old.

George Bush did the following which made it very easy, with a weak POTUS candidate, for any Democrat, including Obama to win:

1. Vocal, committed support for Amnest.
2. TARP
3. No fiscal discipline whatsover.
4. Did not defend against invalid and untruthful attacks.
5. No mention of limited government.

And on a minor scale:

1. Not vetoing McCain-Fiengold.

Dismissing the supporting facts and the opinion/sentiment that Bush helped to usher in Obama out of hand, is the argument of a five-year old.

No, it was a load of crap.

Kerry was, is, and will be a far left creep unless there is a major change in him.

Trump knew this then and he knows it now.

Trump's not being honest and neither are you.

My original point (perhaps not properly conveyed) was Trump would likely have critized Gore or Kerry (whether he was a supporter/donor, or not) as one of the worst presidents, just as he has with the last two.

How is that dishonest?

Bush's $200-$400 billion dollar deficits which were about 1-2% of the then GDP and are NO EXCUSE for President Wrong for America's $1.6 Trillion dollar deficits that are at least 10% if the GDP. Such irresponsible behavior is ridiculous.

Be careful, I may call you a Trump Chump - I mean that in a FRiendly passive aggressive way. ; )

This guy is a loose cannon........ Why? He's not wrong here. If Bush had been a more successful president, we would not have gotten Pelosi, Reid and then Obama.

Iraq was an unpopular gamble but, to make matters worse, Republicans seemed to be incompetent and corrupt. The House had some scandals with my ex-Rep "Duke" Cunningham (Felon-CA), the Tom "no fat in the budget" Delay (Felon-TX) and the mishandled homosexual harassment of interns scandal. The Republicans also spent like drunken sailors.

This is not BDS, it's just the facts: Bush and his Republican allies in Congress blew it for the Party's next candidate. We're probably lucky it was McCain because he was just a throw-away, not a serious contender.

Now that we’re learning Donald Trump’s Political ‘Pit Bull’ is a Democrat, you could say that I am getting a bit concerned.

Michael Cohen is Trumps chief advisor, and he was a former Obama fan. That can mean only one thing. Trump is also a Democrat.

Like you, I’m starting to wonder what the heck is going on here!

Trump’s own audio clips from Mark Levin show.

Devastating in my opinion, and I’m sad to say they were a real eye-opener to me. Decide for yourself. This is really, really not good.

“Conservatives generally fall into one of two categories. Either the WMD’s were moved, or the intelligence was faulty. But conservatives believe Bush was being truthful.”

I believe that he BELIEVED the wmd’s were there. They weren’t. Any BS about trucks going to Syria is just that, BS because we do not know what was on them.
