In comparison, 39 percent of native-born Americans with children are signed up for welfare, the report found.
In Texas,.... 70 percent of illegal immigrants receive welfare assistance, with illegal immigrants generally receiving benefits on behalf of their U.S.-born children
Overall, Texas tied with California and New York for the second highest immigrant welfare rates behind Arizona.
Texas showed 61 percent of households headed by an immigrant utilizing at least one program compared to the 42 percent of Texas natives on welfare.
"This is partly due to the large share of immigrants with low levels of education and their resulting low incomes —
Illegal immigrants with children primarily use food assistance programs and Medicaid, with little or no cash or housing assistance.
"Say the name, (for example) 'Women, Infants and Children food program,' are politicians really going to cut this?" Camarota said.

It likely is. The government lies consistently when it comes to millions of these illegals compromising and undermining our system. Been to an ER lately? They are a *major* factor in the health care collapses and skyrocketing costs of health care for U.S. citizens.

Back in 1980 I was visiting Tx from my native Ohio.
I was out on a construction site.
An old Texan told me “son if we had welfare like you folks up north, half the population of Mexico would move here tomorrow.”
Apparently he was correct.
They give our tax money to illegals, but want to cut our Social Security after working all our lives and paying into it.
I don’t mind reforming it, but why should we have to work more years to support the pensions of Federal workers who get to retire much earlier than the public sector with much better benefits. Why do we have to pay for illegals to live off the system?
