Washington, D.C. Nevada Senator Harry Reid released the following statement on tomorrows House vote on the Republican budget:
The vote youll cast tomorrow presents a clear choice between millionaires and the middle class. Whose side are you on?
It will also answer for the country this question: Are Republicans serious about reducing the deficit, or are they going to continue pretending we can do it without asking millionaires, billionaires and corporations to pay their fair share?
Our federal budget is like any familys budget in that there are two columns: what we take in and what we spend. We cant have a serious conversation about balancing the budget until Republicans stop pretending that the ledger has only one side.
What family is he talking about? If a family ran their house like the government, the sheriff would have already come and evicted the family onto the street!
In few words, eliminate zer0.
Being lectured to by that moron is hilarious. Harry doesn’t know if her Depends need changing, .let alone what middle class America wants.
He’s mocking the Tea Party that he knows the GOP leadership is really with him
He is known as Dingy Harry for a reason. He doesn’t measure up to dirty. He is but a pathetic old man, living his 15 minutes as merely dingy
You’ve nailed it. Reid knows that he has Boehner and McConnell in his pocket and that when crunch time arrives, that they will once again go scurrying into their hole in the ground. The Dems are clever and ruthless tacticians and they are absolutely rolling hte GOP leadership (and the majority of the GOP caucus). Reid likely cannot believe that it’s been so easy and will only be encouraged by Republican weakness. The GOP better wake up or they will be punished in 2012.
US deficit up 15.7% in first half of fiscal 2011
Hairy Reid on raising the debt ceiling on 2006:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ELkbDdPeL7I
“If my Republican friends believe that increasing our debt by almost $800 billion today and more than $3 trillion over the last five years is the right thing to do, they should be upfront about it. They should explain why they think more debt is good for the economy.
How can the Republican majority in this Congress explain to their constituents that trillions of dollars in new debt is good for our economy? How can they explain that they think it’s fair to force our children, our grandchildren, our great grandchildren to finance this debt through higher taxes. Thats what it will have to be. Why is it right to increase our nations dependence on foreign creditors?”
“...what we take in and what we spend.”
I think it’s really, “what WE CONFISCATE of your wealth and what we redistribute to the scum bags who vote for us.”
Fri Am Obamedia said he raised $2 million.
Tha just about covers what NObama has spent covering up his life history.
