Who is "them"? I, like you, don't have to have anyone agree or disagree with me to voice my opinion. Having said that, I don't agree that releasing the long form will resolve the eligibility issue. I am of the opinion that it doesn't matter if the long form is released because, as I've already said, the information needed to resolve the eligibility issue is already at hand. His father was a British citizen and was not an American citizen in any way, natural or naturalized.

What I "believe" is not the issue. I don't know where he was born. I can't know until something other than an abstract "walk-in" document is provided. I know that he and others claim he was born in Hawaii.

Ankeny v Daniels addresses the question of Obama’s elibility, and is recent and pertinent. Minor otoh is a 130 year old ruling that was not directly ruling on this point, and more importantly came before Wong Kim Ark, which is itself is the key precedent to start from on this, since it ruled directly on birthright citizenship. Ankeny quotes Minor - more fully than you do - and a host of other rulings including Wong Kim Ark to reach their conclusion.
But you know this already, and I have no interest in rehashing further when my REAL bottom line is that even if you and I agree to a plausible different interpretation for NBC narrower than the one Ankeny took, the courts will take the path Ankeny took.
BTW, the facts of BHO’s 1961 birth havent changed in the last 1 1/2 years. No wrong arguments, just same basic facts about the evidence that is out there.

Having more than 10 years in both print and online media (in both editorial and reporting capacities in three states) I’ll vouch for LJ being quite correct. Modern media is nothing but a propaganda outlet for lib interests.

Right, a Vattel-style NBC interpretation wont care where Obama was born, so long as it was to a foreign parent, he wont be NBC by that definition.

It may not be ‘the issue’ but it is my question. have at it.
You can decide that it’s not settled with epistemological certainty of 100.000% , but we know he was born, and there is 100% certainty it was somewhere, and the only credible evidence shared has pointed to Honolulu. my point is doubts or lack of cetainty should NOT lead to hostility to the idea that his birthplace in Honolulu is a reasonable conclusion based on the evidence. Because it IS, and nobody has brought forth a plausible alternative scenario. Hence ... if not Honolulu, where?

Several evidence points that go beyond an abstract document HAVE been provided - as I shared. newspaper announcements, COLB, state officials’ statements. so you KNOW more than an ‘abstract’ document exists, you also know state officials have said his birth records are on file, they shared the index file, and they vouched that they confirm his birth in Hawaii. And you know there were two newspaper birth announcements of his birth in Honolulu papers.
You know more than you let on. ;-)

That's just it, there is no evidence. Evidence is something that is shown at trial or at a hearing. It's something that is gathered in an investigation. There's been no true investigation.
Even you have to admit that the COLB was given to the press by a political campaign and not an individual person. Why would the press investigate what they're hand fed and "believe" anyway.?
What is "out there" is damage control in an attempt to control the public's perception.
