Charles Krauthammer On Obama's Speech: "It Was A Disgrace"

"I rarely heard a speech by a president so shallow, so hyper-partisan and so intellectually dishonest, outside the last couple of weeks of a presidential election where you are allowed to call your opponent anything short of a traitor. But we're a year and a half away from Election Day and it was supposed to be a speech about policy," syndicate columnist Dr. Charles Krauthammer said about President Obama's speech.

Unless you're a Democrat, in which case calling your opponent a traitor is where you START. I.e. Al Gore on George W. Bush: "He BETRAYED this country...He PLAYED ON OUR FEARS..." et cetera.

"If he told them to get off their lazy asses, don’t drop out of school, stop smoking dope, stop going out and having 5 illegitimate children by 5 different mothers and get a real job, he would become a pariah."

Bill Cosby said this a few years ago and got hammered for it.

Is there really ANYTHING about the Vacationer in Chief which is really NOT a disgrace? He shit stains the Oval Office every single time he walks through the door. Surely he must have ONE redeeming quality. And if anyone here knows of it, please drop me a line, because I am stumped.

Narcissists have NO redeeming qualities, they are all out for themselves, they don't care who they hurt, who is in their way & they have no capacity for empathy for anyone but themselves!

Because his comments were diametrically opposed to the poverty pimp’s “blame dat raciss ass whitey fo’ all yo’ prob’ems” mantra, which has made millionaires out of all three of them at the expense of black people in this country.

Now it seems Cosby is reversing himself again, playing the race card over the birth certificate issue.

He was a big time, anti-whitey racist during the early 70’s. Like a cancer (which racism always is) his racism went into remission until the Mulatto in Chief got elected, upon which it re-presented and he is back in the full blown disease.

Eventually he’ll have to die of old age. That’s the only redeeming quality I can think of.

Obama’s budget plan:

1)Extract money from private sector through taxes.

2)Grow government union jobs.

3)Unions fund Democrat (re)election.

What a plan!

“Charlie is NOT a Democrat. Where did you even get that idea??”

I was told that by a friend and for the longest time was trying to figure it out, because he always has a conservative view.

Gad, what a maroon I am. Heheh.

Is it the same Krauthammer that 0b0z0 recommended listening to as a “very smart man” when Krauthammer agreed with 0b0z0 once?

I guess it is. 0b0z0 is like Dutch weather; wait 5 minutes and it’ll change.

BO has no understanding of economics. Did he not take a course in economics in college? Did he not pass said course?

Oh yeah, I forgot, we don’t know what he took in college. We don’t even know what name he used to get into college.

He's thin. But, I'll call him a traitor anyway.

I am not much of a movie goer, but I am a reader (thanks to my large font kindle)and it already seems to me like we are where your movie depicts us. As a reader, I recommend for starters, “The Light and the Glory”, by Peter Marshall and David Manuel. It tells the thorough researched history of our country from l492 to shortly after the Revolutionary War. So beautifully written that you swear you are there! Every American should read where we actually came from and what God had to do with it all. I think He is withdrawing His grace from America because we have turned our backs on Him in every imaginable way. As a saved Christian, I have watched and warned about where I saw we were going since I was old enough to vote (and that has been six decades), all to no avail, for few would listen. So God, in order to discipline His children, has unleashed a storm to temper us. There is but one path back to the country He designated for us, and that is to Him through His Son, Jesus Christ. Unless that path is taken by the American people, we are lost.

If it’s any consolation, when I first heard Charles Krauthammer I tuned him out assuming he was another liberal elitist. However, I finally noticed on Fox that when he spoke, others LISTENED. So I tried it, and found his analysis of the topics to be very thought out and realistic. While I still don’t agree with him on everything, I make it a point to listen to him when he has a comment, as I have learned a few things from listening to his point of view...

I have not read “The Light and the Glory” but based on your description I will seek out a copy and read it.

This is totally off the subject of saving America (or maybe not) but if you enjoy reading books about the history of Christianity and Christians in the United States, I highly recommend “The Man Who Moved A Mountain” by Richard C. Davids.

It is the life story of Rev. Bob Childress, who was born and grew up in the hills of Virginia (Buffalo Mountain in Floyd County). It is a fascinating and VERY inspirational story of an amazing man of faith who overcame great obstacles to ‘save’ himself, and who set as his mission convincing the mountain people of southwest Virginia to change their moonshining and feuding ways.

I first read the book when I was in college in the 1980s, and I reread it every few years or whenever I need to be reminded what one person can achieve through God, hard work and unshakable determination.

Obama was talking to his base, which is why it sounded condescending, patronizing, emotional and childishly idiotic to any grownup.

Which would explain, in part, why the speech was given in front of a bunch of students at GWU. He doesn't have the guts to face a room full of actual "grown-ups" ... not just in age, but in intelligence, integrity, decency and honor, etc.
