The U.S. military has continued to drop ordinance on Muammar Qaddafi's air defense systems in Libya since the handover of operations to NATO on April 4th, Pentagon Spokesman Col. Dave Lapan told reporters Wednesday.
"We have fighter aircraft... that NATO can use for suppression of enemy air defense missions," Lapan said. He later described them as missions that "attack" those air defense systems.
This stands in contrast to messages heard in press briefings and testimony on Capitol Hill from defense leaders, who have given the impression that when the mission was handed over to NATO U.S. strike sorties stopped and were only available upon request.

At the end of the day, Obama has a pretty smile, big white teeth, a six pack, walks with a swagger, holds his chin high, is thin, black, handsome, clean, a name that sticks out, articulate, a popular wife and is up on the hip trends within our culture incorporating the vernacular and ensuring he hits all the venues. Package contents don't matter. Children buy the carton/box the toy comes in.
Why would anyone believe a thing this guy says?? A lie a second. He’s aptly named—Zero.
I had the same thoughts coming to work this morning. All that has been on the news was about those EEEEEEEEvil House Republicans trying to starve the poor and elderly.
That’s exactly what I expected.
And when he says “No boots on the ground,” I suppose he’ll say that he didn’t mean sneakers.
“Ghost Rider 6 this is control. We are preparing to drop the 83rd Airborne Lawyer Battalion. Drop that ordinance now, or they won’t have a leg to stand on in court!”
“So it’s come to laws and lawyers, eh control? I didn’t sign up for no stinking genocide missions! I’m riding this ordinance back to base and let the ACLU look at it!”
Someone on FR suggested rather than “Odyssey Dawn” this operation should be named “Aimless Fury”.
That joke of a man doesn’t know the difference between the truth and a lie. His entire past is a lie. He’s lied all his life and gotten away with it and continues to do so.
Or “Aimless Furry”, what happens when a weasel hits his head and goes to war.
