"You hear about this sort of thing happening at American schools and you think that's a long way away," said Rob Kuipers, 50, a project manager. "Now it's happened here in the Netherlands."Hmmmm. Interesting take by a Dutch witness.

Investigators were trying to determine the shooter's identity, the mayor said. Eyewitnesses said he had long blond hair, appeared to be about 25 years old, and wore a leather jacket with camouflage pants. Interesting.
The shop keeper says he was carrying a "machine gun." It'll be just as interesting to hear what the weapon actually is.

If The Netherlands had restrictive gun laws, this type of nonsense wouldn't happen. Oh wait...
Only citizens who are hunters, members of shooting sports clubs or legitimate collectors may obtain licenses for firearms. In the case of shooting club members they will get a license for category III weapons (a firearms category which includes all non- full automatic firearms up to .50 cal.). Possession is generally limited to 5 firearms per license. Collectors may obtain a license for any category of firearm, including full automatic arms, but stringent rules apply to achieving collector status. There is no limit to the number of firearms a collector may obtain. Generally the collector license does not cover shooting these weapons.
Sale/Use is only for those age 18 or over. There are a few DOZEN gunshops in the Netherlands. Gun ownership is extremely low with only three firearms per hundred people.

The key will be to find out how the person came to be in possession of such a gun in the Netherlands.

I just completed an ITIL course 3 weeks ago, taught by a Dutch man. He and I chatted quite a bit during class breaks. Though he has been living in Miami for 8 years, he told me he still didn't understand the American 'fixation' on owning guns.
Ironically, he also said no one in the Netherlands had guns and, because of that fact, they never had shootings like the ones in the USA.

How can this be? The Netherlands has gun control laws that make Bloomberg and Schumer drool.
Notice that the shooting did not stop until men with guns appeared on the scene, then the chickenshiite shot himself.

I didn’t read the article to see if this was a Muslim, but if Muslims really want to strike fear into the hearts of Americans, this is the way to do it.
It would really wreak havoc if Muslims consistently went on shooting sprees in everyday public places such as malls. It also wouldn’t take much coordination or skill.
However, maybe they realize that such things would create a real backlash against Muslim and Americans would stop sleeping on the threat Muslims pose.
