WASHINGTON (AP) -- The White House says six high schools - from Washington state to New Jersey - have been chosen as finalists in a competition to land President Barack Obama as their commencement speaker.
They are: Bridgeport High School in Bridgeport, Wash.; Wayne Early Middle College High School in Goldsboro, N.C., and Booker T. Washington High School in Memphis, Tenn.

Why can’t he just send the teleprompter to deliver the cr@p to all six schools?
>>> 6 high schools vie to win Obama at commencement
Can we change to “6 high schools vie to win Obama”? And once they win the big prize, there’d be no return, and no refund.
okay...is it a middle school, high school, or a college? :o)
WOW! How the might have fallen.................
It will be Booker T. Washington High School.
So, how does it work? They compete, and the loser has to take him?
Simple: the school that contributes the most to his 2012 re-election campaign will win.
If Obama had been prez when I graduated, I would have had them mail my diploma. I can’t stand the sight or sound of that POS.
Are they vying to get him to do the commencement or to ensure he doesn’t do the commencement?
The school my kids attend already won. They didn’t apply. I feel sorry for the parents whose children’s graduation will be marred by this anti-American communist’s presence.
That’s my guess!
I’m so very happy that none of my kids will have to be exposed to Present Stroker and his TelePrompter.
Don’t rule out the CAPA high school in Pittsburgh which has a large number of gay students
From the link:
Ninety percent of the students are Hispanic and all receive free and reduced lunch.
Good.
My local one isn’t a finalist....
(OK, it's more than 7, but way below the 1,000 schools that applied last year.)
Mmmmmm mmmmm mmmmm mmmmmm.
MY first thought was and still is, if my kid was graduating and he would be the speaker- I would opt out totally. That is why the USPS sells stamps-
Course with my attitude these days,I would likely be homeschooling.
