FAIRLESS Hills, PA At an event at a Spanish windmill firm in Pennsylvania, President Obama suggested Americans consider selling their gas guzzlers for more fuel efficient cars. The president chided one questioner, saying: "If you're complaining about the price of gas and you're only getting 8 miles a gallon, you know, you might want to think about a trade-in."
The Associated Press reported that Mr. Obama made the comment "laughingly." However, the quote has been scrubbed from the original linked page.
Fortunately, Glenn Reynolds of Instapundit captured a screenshot:

The Presidential Limo..................
What a pathetic POS! What a contemptible smart-ass!
Mr. Obama=Lord Douchebag
That’s the deal - when they actually would be the most productive, they don’t/can’t run them because they will either tear themselves up or make too much noise.
Great line. Actually That Chevy model is great. I just traded in my ‘04 Cavalier for a Colbalt. the Cav’ had 251,000 miles and ran great. I could have gotten 300K but why push it.
What cars get 8 MPG these days?
We pay the gas bill for that one.
All that’s missing is the fuzzy dice.
Apart from ultra-exotics and custom jobs where the owners won't be caring about the price of gas (I'd be more worried about the $4,000 worth of tires that you can blow through on a track weekend), I'd say the one I know of the best is Obama's limo, which gets exactly 8 mpg *diesel*.
We are not thinking about a trade in - we are trading in you in 2012.
More gracious coverage from the Pom-Pom Media.
What an idiot he is. Heavy pickups with large V-8s still get near over 15mpg hwy. People aren’t complaining about their mileage. They’re upset it’s taking almost $40 to fill their 10 gallon econo-box.
When Windmills Attack
I guess this is how you can be declared the greatest orator in American History? You just get the press to rewrite what you said?!
We are thinking about a trade-in ....... we need a new president who doesn't lecture the country like children and who doesn't have his head up his you-know-what in the dark about the critical issues our country faces. "Drill Brazil drill" and windmills are not an energy policy for America.
great photo. lol
"The Lord and Lady... DOOOCHBAG!"
"Well, as I often say, it just wouldn't be a party without a Douchbag to liven things up!"
