US Senator Scott Brown continues to enjoy strong favorability ratings and would defeat any of the Democrats -- including Governor Deval Patrick -- who have been mentioned as potential challengers, if the election were held today, according to a new Suffolk University/7 News poll.
The poll indicates that former US Representative Joseph P. Kennedy II would pose the strongest challenge to the Republican senator. In a hypothetical head-to-head race, Kennedy would receive 40 percent of the vote to Browns 45 percent. Kennedy, however, has indicated to leading Democrats that he has no interest in challenging Brown.
Brown would more easily defeat Patrick by 52 percent to 37 percent, Vicki Kennedy by 52 percent to 30 percent, and Lieutenant Governor Timothy P. Murray by 51 to 23 percent. Though all three have been mentioned as potential candidates, Patrick, Murray and Vicki Kennedy have also said that they will not challenge Brown in 2012.

What fools want Dingy Harry to be Senate majority leader for 2 more years? Especially at FR?
A rino like Brown is not any different from having a democrat elected.
The fools who want to run unelectable candidates in Liberal states. Alan Keyes is a fine man but in Maryland he can't win. In Illinois he can't win.
I'm talking about those who aren't Reagan Conservatives and don't believe in a big tent.
I see were you are coming from. I don’t see any way around who ends up the nominee in these states. State primaries decide these things. I will just say that I was told that I would never have a even a remotely Conservative Senator again in PA after Santorum. I got Toomey, who is far better. It can happen in so called Blue states with the right candidate.
Scott you are a closet Homo. Not that there’s anything wrong with that but you are not who you pretend to be.
You are gonna get spanked in the next election and not in the way you like.
PA is a funny state where Pro Life candidates win on the D line. Mass is far from Pro Life and may be the most Catholic state in the US so lie cheat say anything but to offend those voters. They want Obama at Notre Dame as their model.
47(R) - Dingy Harry Senate Majority Leader.
48(R) - Dingy Harry Senate Majority Leader.
49(R) - Dingy Harry Senate Majority Leader.
50(R) - Dingy Harry still the Senate Majority Leader if Obama / Biden win the 2012 Election.
51(R) - Republican Senate Majority Leader, hopefully not McConnell. In other words, Scott being Reelected is NOT the same as a Democrat being Elected.
Poll shows Brown besting possible Senate challengers
This just shows the democrats win either way.
Is it fair to assume Brown will vote for a Republican Majority Leader if the Tea Party likes the same guy?
I would love to see Doofus Duval run and get killed so we would be rid of the mini-Obama.
The Massachusetts Liberals are bent on electing Democrat Senators even if they’re Republican.
There are just no Democrats who want to reclaim the Kennedy seat. And if they lose the Senate next year, no Democrat wants to spend life in the minority. They’d rather punt.
Brown has shown enough movement to the left to satisfy enough Massachusetts voters to re-elect him.
They're all a bunch of Godless Commies.
If Brown is the best we can get out of MA, then he’ll have to do. Better than another communist.
