FORT LAUDERDALE— A Fort Lauderdale woman will spend 10 years in prison for spraying another woman with Mace, knocking her down and stomping on her head until her eyes, nose and mouth bled, a Broward County judge ordered Monday.
Porsha Dale, 22, who has a 5-year-old son, had asked for house arrest, anger management classes and treatment for depression. The two women were both interested in the same man at the time of the attack.

IMO, since she has actually taken the victims life away(the vic is now a vegetable, unable to move or speak, and probably will never live a normal life)I think the death penalty,or at the very least life without parole, should have been the sentence.
Her mother died when she was 5, she said. Soon after, the aunt who was raising her also died. The father of her son is in jail and she has a restraining order against a boyfriend who tried to choke her, she said.

In my working life I did spend a lot of time in big city ERs. Your description of the customers being likened to rabid animals is right on. I have never understood how the RNs and Docs keep from burning out after about one week in those conditions.
Death penalty if the victim dies!

Purging "victims" like this does the rest of us a favor because there will be less societal damage in the future.

The victim, Bianca Polanco, now 31, remains comatose and lives in a Miami nursing home.
Sorry Porsha, you should be locked up and fed with a stick like the animal you are. She essentially murdered the victim. 10 years isn't much for completely ruining another person's life.
Hhmmmm. Another large and unattractive black woman, without a husband but with a five year old son, and no momma and and no father, and beaten by boyfriends and on a rage and we are to be suprised? How could this happen; who knew?
Ah, yes, the old "I can't go to jail, I have kids" defense that usually works. Judges should say to more women, "You have kids but you're out at the bars, getting in fights, and messing around with seedy men. See you in 10 years."
Ironically, her victim will probably be dead before she gets out. Will it be upgraded to murder? I've seen college football players get a fine and probation in nearly identical crimes. (Such as Texas Christian University center Ryan Tucker, who was picked up by the Rams in 1997 after beating somebody in a bar brawl so badly they were paralyzed and brain damaged. Dick Vermeil said, "Hey, I want a kid who can finish a fight.")

And people wonder why social and fiscal conservatism go hand and hand. Probably all of them had children out of wedlock. No marriage. No daddies in their kids’ lives. All tax payer money vacuums. The victim’s care is probably being paid for by the state. This kind of stuff goes on millions and millions of times all over the country.
Well, that prison food should help her slim down a tad.
