Believing a democrat (any democrat) from Anchorage is not wise..
If they had any sense they wouldn't even be a democrat..

The dem is citing the numbers from Parnell's admin correct?

I have no idea why Parnell thinks the numbers coming from his own dept are wrong. Seems fishy why Parnell will accept non supportive anecdotes before hard data from his depts.

Actually, instead of playing this silly I-believe-one-person-versus-another game, one could simply look up the statistics.

Perhaps Parnell has been compromised. Maybe the Murkowski wing is threatening to Miller him if he doesn't return the oil and gas industry to the Good Old (boy) Days.

Don't you even believe Parnell's numbers either. Truth is somewhere's in between. The state & Repubs don't even have good numbers and admit it; man our Repubs stinkin in up in Alaska. Parnell is on the take, sure hope a whole bunch of Repubs don't get sent off to the big house again like last time. Expect it to occur just the same. Our Repubs go cheap too; this whole thing makes me sick about my Repub Party. Palin straightened it all out, state has saved 14 billion over the last few years with ACES and now Parnell wants to spend it quick rather than keep with what Palin got going. Palin's the only one I'd trust up here.

You watch, they'll be calling for state taxes like crazy in 3-4 years while they give Big Oil 2 billion/year back with no guarantees on investment; all the while oil will be $200/barrel before long.

If most Repubs on FR saw what was really happening with all of this, they'd be shocked at the corruption with Parnell in the drivers seat; now Palin is gone. Crying shame for Alaska. They should let the oil sit in the ground, sooner or later price will be so high, somebody will want to develop it.

Just wait and see what comes out of this down the road. Now Big Oil will dedicate it's spending spree on the Senate; they have 2 years to buy those guys off. Right now, the Senate says they don't want anything to do with this deal, hope they are more honorable than the House in Ak. Alot more to this than what is getting told and many Repubs up here are against changing the oil taxes.
