LAS VEGAS In his first presidential run in 2008, Mitt Romney sought back-to-back victories in Iowa and New Hampshire to propel him to GOP nomination. He won neither, his the two-state sprint failed and so did his candidacy.
...This time his strategy is more of a multi-state marathon, with economically suffering Nevada an important round in what advisers predict could be a protracted fight to be the partys 2012 nominee.
...The strategy calls for big showings in New Hampshire and Nevada to boost momentum. After that come strong fights in enough other states so Romney enters the party convention in Tampa, Fla., next fall with more convention delegates pledged to him than any other Republican.
...Romneys planning seeks to seize on a change in how the GOP chooses its nominee.
...Candidates who won a state used to get all delegates in a winner-take-all system. Republicans now will award delegates proportionally, meaning finishing second or third in a state is worth it. That could benefit a wealthy candidate such as Romney. In 2008, he spent $110 million, $45 million of his own money.

I will never vote for a Mormon. Their thought processes are screwed up.
I could care less about Mormonism.
The guy is AT BEST a RINO and unleashed the blueprint for ObamaCare.
Asspress pimping their favorite clown. This is McCain/Dole round three they want.
NH can’t stand that clown. They saw first hand how he “ran” Massachusetts and how they NOW have to deal with that POS Romney Care.
Mitt Romney is a mayonnaise sandwich on white bread.
Yep!
Compared to McPain/Mittens, Bob Dole looks Reagan-esque.
Everyone needs to remember RomneyCare, the blueprint for ObamaCare.
You’re right!
“Mitt Romney is a mayonnaise sandwich on white bread.”
Mitt Romney is a turd sandwich on white bread.
Mitt! You miserable slut.
YOU WILL NEVER BE PRESIDENT.
If, by some fluke you are, I assure I will never vote Republican again
Wow. Two things I can’t stand. Mayonnaise and White Bread.
Wait...Make that 3 . . . Mutt.
I will never vote for a Mormon. Their thought processes are screwed up.I actually would be willing to vote for a Mormon who wasn't also a RINO and Obamacarist, like Romney is, but I recognize that so many people would feel the same way you do that I could never support the nomination of a Mormon for the Republican candidate for president.
Also, I know that no matter how good some hypothetical conservative Mormon might be (and I'm not talking about Romney, who is no conservative no how), he/she would be so vulnerable to the press tearing apart the Mormon cult-ideology, that such a candidacy would be utterly doomed to failure from the start.
We better coalesce around a good conservative early or we are going to get another RINO. There are too many good people running. Some will have to drop out early so as not to spread the conservative vote so thin that the RinoCrat wins.Words of wisdom, Nuc 1.1. Words of wisdom.
We better coalesce around a good conservative early or we are going to get another RINO. There are too many good people running. Some will have to drop out early so as not to spread the conservative vote so thin that the RinoCrat wins. And the obvious way to do that, as far as I'm concerned, is to all get behind Palin if she runs and to all get behind Palin's Pick if she doesn't run. (Of course, this depends on her being willing to make a pick, and make it early, if she doesn't run.)
I agree.
Agree - as long as we've got a viable CONSERVATIVE...
Without getting into names, I agree with your concept 100%.
