CNN ^ | 03/31/2011 | CNN Political Unit

It's official: Donald Trump is a "birther." But he'd prefer you don't use that term.

Speaking to MSNBC Thursday, the business mogul and improbable presidential candidate reiterated much of what he has said in the last several days when it comes to doubting President Obama's birthplace, declaring, "I am embracing the issue, and I'm proud of the issue. I think somebody has to embrace it."

Rove was on BOR last night basically calling him crazy for saying this.

Rove and his bitter band of RINOs will be dinosaurs when this story concludes.

Rove lost all credibility with his behaviour before the last election.

He clearly is looking to torpedo Trump, but FNC love him.

Yeah...BOR went back to his infamous newspaper announcements...like they mean anything.

If there is nothing to hide, I can’t figure out why this is such an issue with Zero. Just put it up and let everyone see it. Either he’s got it and it toying with everyone to create an “issue” or he’s hiding something very important.

I want to see Mika interview him on Mourning Joe. Now that would be worth paying cable for.

I don’t mind the word ‘birther’. Go ahead, call me a birther. It’s fine with me. After all, I do believe that Barak Obama was born in Kenya. So yeah, I’m a birther.

With the size of Trumps financial empire, it would take years and years to get a ruling one way or the other............

If Obama was born in another country then today’s leader of that country would know about it. Like Michael Jackson, Obama is more loved outside the USA. He really is the Messiah to them. So, wherever that place would be (if not in USA) that President or King or whatever would indeed know.

I agree with you there, never liked Trump, but I’ll gladly put personal feelings aside to support him. We need someone who isn’t kowtowed by the media, someone who doesn’t give a damn about being politically correct and someone who has resources to dig into this. He has guts unlike 99% of the politicians out there today, and it’s refreshing to see someone, anyone, FINALLY doing something about that usurper even if it only makes him a little uncomfortable, it’s worth.
I say go for it!

Is he doing it for the GOP, or for she-who-cannot-be-named.
Interesting thought, but as you say, doesn't really matter. The important thing is outing the truth.

The Donald is very good at opposition research. IE: He uses private investigators. It appears he has something in his pocket. He is a guy that does not like surprises so it would not make sense for him to be doing this if he did not have some information he is holding on to.

It wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if it were the latter, since Trump is a known Hitlery backer.
