“Col. Greg Hollister, USAF (Ret.) contacted the Selective Service, falsely impersonated President Obama, improperly registered his own address as President Obama’s address, and by this false impersonation and identity theft he managed to obtain a duplicate registration acknowledgement card with President Obama’s Selective Service information on it,” a blogger posted on gratewire.com last week.

Really? Sounds implausible to me.

One of the tell-tale differences between Conservatives and Libtards, is that Conservatives have standards.

If this man broke the law; he can pay the price.

If this were a Libtard cause, the fact that he broke the law, forged documents, misrepresented himself, lied, deceived, stole or bribed are over-looked.

Conservatives hold ourselves to a higher standard, and that is readily demonstrated time, and time again.

Interesting. This guy is innocent until proven guilty. If the story is true and if he broke laws then they will have to prove up allegations. That opens up a can of worms if you think about it.....

So what happened? He convinced some federal employee that the president of the United States was calling, in person, to obtain a copy of a thirty year old document, and that it should NOT be sent to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, but to Colorado instead, because he and the first family were temporarily residing in a subdivision in Colorado Springs while the White House was being worked on

Hmmmm. I guess when you think about it that way it's not really all that implausible after all, especially the 'convinced some federal employee' part...

It all sounds strange, but the 1099 especially sounds like nutbaggery.

...birther movement claim Obama was born in either Kenya or Indonesia...

I don't believe anyone thinks Obama was born in Indonesia. However, many suggest that he may have surrendered his citizenship (British, American, Kenyan, whatever) so that he could attend grade school in Indonesia.

Also most believe that the matter was insufficiently scrutinized for this very high level position.

While I deplore this guy’s clearly illegal actions, the whole birther movement could be ended if Obama would just release his records like every other US President has done. If he was legally born in Hawaii as he claims what’s to hide? Beyond the birth certificate and Social Security number irregularities, I am still amazed that no one seems to have known Obama as a kid or through high school and college. You would think that his photo would be in a school yearbook, sports team photos etc. or that classmates or neighbors who knew him would come forth, but next to nothing has been found about his past. That coupled with the fact that a $2 million effort was made to conceal his past simply adds to the questions. Anyone born, living and attending school in the US would have a paper trail, but with Obama there is nothing. Even pictures of Bill Clinton and Hillary in their hippy days were made public and both had friends and classmates who knew them...why not Obama?

"Col. Greg Hollister, USAF (Ret.) contacted the Selective Service, falsely impersonated President Obama..."

Interesting. So what are they going to charge him with? Impersonating a President? Should be: Impersonating someone who is already impersonating a President...

Isn’t Col Hollister one of the Plaintiff’s in an eligibility lawsuit? I think it’s one of Orly Taitz suits.

You know, I think “birther” is a term ascribed so as to divert attention from what they are asking for. A “birther” would be someone who is in favor of birth, which pretty much everyone has gone through, if their mother allowed them to. I am a “birther”, in favor of birth. I don’t know of anyone who is against birth, per se. There are those in favor of abortion, but they come to favor birth eventually when they want to actually have children. No, “birther” does not describe people who want to see a birth certificate. That is why there is no “birther movement.”

I liked the term I saw yesterday, applied to Donald Trump, and that is “Proofer”, someone who is in favor of proof. I am a “Proofer”, in that I want to see proof. I am asked for proof lots of times. I’m not a “Poofter”, that is something else entirely, and not even on the same subject. I wonder if there is a “Poofter Movement”. Hmmmm.

Anyway, I have to prove USA citizenship, because I am white and speak with an American accent. But if someone is Mexican, it would be profiling to ask to see proof of citizenship. And the same for Presidents. Sarah Palin will be disqualified if she doesn’t show hers, and already they are trying to poke holes in Trump’s birth certificate, but Obama, well, you racist conservatives are profiling again. It would be funny if it weren’t so serious.

Remember a few years back when twits like NBC’s David Gregory were demanding George Bush’s NationalGuard records?

If he broke the law, I’d consider it to have been done in service to his country, so long as he didn’t use the information to get some personal gain. If the Congress, the States, and the courts have abdicated their responsibilities under the Constitution, then it falls to the citizens to pick up the flag and carry on. In the face of a hostile government that is no longer representative of the will of the people, then a few laws must be broken, that is inevitable.

Better to violate Obama’s privacy rights in order to settle the issue than to let things devolve further and risk more desperate recourse.
