A judge in Madison, Wis., on Thursday ruled a controversial law severely limiting the collective bargaining powers of public employee unions in the state was not in effect.
Following a court hearing on March 29, Dane County Circuit Court Judge Maryann Sumi issued a declaration on Thursday morning stating that the state officials had not followed correct procedures when they published the law "and is therefore not in effect."

Have the National Guard remove the good judge.
I rule that she is not a judge.
Has the local news media bothered to report on the judges obvious conflict of interest? Or have they deemed that unimportant?
And the good people of Wisconsin (e.g., the non union folks who actually do useful work) can tell this judge to shove it up her smelly Obama.
This should read Mother of a Union Official Rules.
How many more bias and prejudicial actions does this idiot judge have to make before the State of WS files a motion to remove the judge for being bias and prejudicial? Not to mention the conflicts of interest she currently has with her own son a big chief in the AFL-CIO!
WI needs to get a pair and take action now!
You have to hope that the irony of people that skipped town to thwart the process complaining about procedural nuances being violated won't be lost on voters.
Turn the herd of public feeders into dry cows. Put em on grass and dry them up. The herd got too big and it needs to be culled.
I’d say it’s time to go “Fight Club” on her professional and personal surroundings and associates.
the MSM is obfuscating that this is for GOVERNMENT workers not private sector workers.
The WI gov already said this does not apply to the law since it has been published.
This judge was trying to be “cute” (read is incompetent) as a way of putting control in a democrat’s hands.
The judge is now giving relief which was not asked for.
“Shop a judge”.....
Are the good people of Wisconsin aware of “ tar and feather and run out of town?”
Time for the people to do what they want and tell the judges and federal gangstas to shove it...we run this country not them..if we don’t lets find out..
Healthcare law fiasco? Not in effect either?
They should go ahead with their recently passed law and make the judge declare them in contempt, just stop collecting funds for unions, end the collective bargaining and force the fed to come out and start arresting folks, then the state can call the state police and start arresting the fed, lets rock...
that is a bit silly.
why not quote Jackson who said (i paraphrase) “they do not have anyone to enforce the ruling”
She is attempting to bind a party who has not been served. She must clearly be a quota hire.
Exactly. The Governor could pardon anyone she tries to hold in contempt.
Her ruling wasn’t even about the validity of the law, it was about the procedure which it was passed so now that she is invalidating the law it crosses the line between separation of powers.
