Arguments in a lawsuit on Barack Obama's eligibility that has been percolating through the federal court system in California since the 2008 election will be heard at the appellate level in just a few weeks.
Officials with the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals today notified attorneys representing several dozen individuals – members of the military, members of state government and even a candidate for president – that oral arguments will be held May 2.
"I can't believe it, but after two years of Obama litigation, for the first time the court of appeals scheduled oral argument in [the] Obama case," wrote Orly Taitz, a California attorney who has litigated a number of challenges to Obama.

Are you asking about the lie that has been propagated that Americans were prohibited by law from traveling to Pakistan in 1981?
Having seen their august institution take lumps for allowing Jones vs. Clinton, which lead to impeachment, followed quickly by Bush vs Gore, giving rise to the "selected not elected" refrain, I believe SCOTUS may be avoiding questions with high political impact.
'Birthers' are mocked by people in all political corners, yet those same critics are afraid to address the underlying issue of documentation. Even eligibility bills which push the requirement start date past the 2012 election cycle, making it not "about Obama," are failing in committees.
If they really don't believe there's a question of the sitting president's eligibility, there's no reason not to pass such bills for 2012. Even if they have doubts, and political motives to protect Obama, why are they not supporting disclosure requirements for the 2016 election cycle?

I KNOW that Americans weren't prohibited from traveling to Pakistan at the time. How do I know? I was there, multiple times throughout the time period in question and beyond.
I've made maybe six trips to Pakistan in my lifetime, and I was NEVER prohibited from traveling, and what's more, there were vigorous American expat communities there every time; everybody from industry reps, salesmen, drug company detail men, aid workers, peace corps volunteers, missionaries, you name it. They could all be found at the American Consular Club. But I doubt if Barry ever made the scene.

An unmasking of Obama would create a legal meltdown. Acts of government from 1/20/09 would be accepted under the “de facto” principle, but Congress would need to pass an omnibus bill (containing all legislation passed from 1/20/09), and Biden would need to sign it. A significant faction of Congress would want to pick and choose which legislation gets passed, since the lower House has changed hands. Very messy situation.

Explain how the Founding Fathers wrote the Constitution so that the British Parliament at Westminster, against whom they had just fought a successful revolution, not the American People, got to decide just who was a natural born citizen of the United States, and thus got to decide who could, and could not, be President of the United States.
Of all the Courts of appeal in the US, I, too, find it odd the 9th circuit will look at this. Perhaps the fix is in, perhaps not. At least ORAL arguments will be heard in court. I hope the media put a TV camera in there to record this truly historic event!

This case from 2008, Judge Carter’s case, thought to be dead is being revived by the 9th Circus. Something I’d say rarely happens...if ever.
