A former youth pastor in Council Bluffs, Iowa, says he had sex with teenage boys because it was his pastoral duty to help (the teen) with homosexual urges bypraying while he had sexual contact with him.
But law enforcement has a different view of his actions. Earlier this month, Brent Girouex, 31, was arrested on 60 counts of suspicion of sexual exploitation by a counselor or therapist, reported The Daily Nonpareil.
In February, Girouex told Council Bluffs police detectives that he had sexual contact with four young men starting in 2007 in order to help them gain sexual purity in the eyes of God.
But Pottawattamie County Attorney Matt Wilber told the Nonpareil that at least eight men have come forward with complaints that Girouex molested them.
Court documents indicated Girouex told investigators the most sexual contact he had was with one teen over a four-year period, starting when the boy was 14 years old. Calling the contact mutual, he said it had occurred between 25 and 50 times during that period.
When investigators spoke to the teen, whos now an adult, he told them the number was between 50 and 100.
Three other young men who were teenagers when the incidents occurred told investigators the sex occurred at Girouexs home. All said they went to be helped with sexual purity.
When they would ejaculate, they would be getting rid of the evil thoughts in their mind, Girouex allegedly told detectives.
Wilber said investigators are following leads to see if there are more victims. Girouex is currently free on $30,000 bond.
Have the last word. Badasses like the last word.
lol. Yes, there’s some underlying pathology there. An inability to tell truth from fiction. A whirlwind of fury at unknown enemies. Scattered lies about anyone and everyone who points out that the pope is wearing women’s clothes.
Deeply troubled. Sad.
What made him a Cleric or a counselor other than the fact he called himself one?
The OPC/PCA groups of Dr. Eck and Gamecock are not "churchs" any more than the "Church of Scientology" is a church.
His position at this church obviously.
Of course none of this would've happened if clergy could marry. /s
Yes the definition matters.
Seems you have a lack of interest in your own church - you obsessively post about everyone else’s; especially, Dr.E and Gamecock. Weird, weird, really weird - spooky weird.
LOL!!
Addition information (from March 17th) that was not published by the Wisconsin Gazette.

A former Council Bluffs youth pastor allegedly told the teens he is accused of sexually exploiting that he was trying to help them gain sexual purity in the eyes of God.
Brent Girouex, 31, told Council Bluffs police detectives in February that starting in 2007 he had sexual contact with four young men who he knew while he was a youth pastor for Victory Fellowship Church.
Pottawattamie County Attorney Matt Wilber said the number has risen since Girouex first talked with police on Feb. 16. Now, Wilber said there are at least eight people who have come forward.
Girouex was arrested on 60 counts of suspicion of sexual exploitation by a counselor or therapist earlier this month and has been released on a $30,000 bond. He is due back in court on April 21.
The Rev. Lonnie Parton of Victory Fellowship Church said church leaders were stunned when four young men came forward with allegations against Girouex in February.
Once Parton learned of the allegations, he confronted Girouex and told him he needed to go to the police and make a confession. He did so on Feb. 16.
Court documents indicated Girouex told investigators the most sexual contact he had was with one teen over a four-year period, starting when the boy was 14 years old. Girouex speculated that he had mutual sexual contact with the teen between 25 and 50 times over the four-year period.
When investigators spoke to the teen, who is now an adult, he told them the number was between 50 and 100 times.
Girouex allegedly said as a youth pastor he felt it was his duty to help (the teen) with homosexual urges by praying while he had sexual contact with him.
Several additional victims also spoke with detectives.
At least three others who were teenagers when the incidents occurred told investigators the events happened at Girouexs home. All three said they were at the house to be helped with sexual purity.
Another man said he was 23 years old and having problems with his wife when Girouex wanted to help him with his issues. The man alleged Girouex pulled down his pants and began to touch his genitals.
Yet another man said that over a five-week period when he was 20 years old, Girouex slowly evolved sexually contacting him from touching him over his clothes to oral sex.
Court documents stated Girouex said during all of the incidents, it was only about helping the victims gain sexual purity.
When they would ejaculate, they would be getting rid of the evil thoughts in their mind, he allegedly told detectives.
While there are at least eight people who have come forward, Wilber said investigators are still following leads to see if there are more victims in the case.
No, no, no, a thousand times no.
Protestant is a denomination in exactly the same way foreign is a nationality.
True.
If it was intended by the writer to be a “crack”, well...as a crack it falls flat, being neither humorous nor offensive.
Why?
I intend exposing this and preventing my Christian Protestant brethern (Pentecostal/Lutheran/Anglican/Baptist/Methodist etc) from being played by the leftist OPC.
Well, I expected nothing better from the OPC -- your group really hates fellow American rednecks, doesn't it, going by these remarks. Disgraceful
Why does the OPC hate rednecks?
you can’t blame Dr. Eckleburg for parroting the lines repeated to her. Other members of her OPC group like Hankkerchief have done the same, promoting anti-Christian hatred, until they were thrown out of FR.
The difference is that no one is protecting this man. He’s not been shipped off elsewhere to avoid being held to account. That’s the thing that bothers people about the same or similar behavior among priests. They’ve been protected and prosecution by civil authorities has been avoided. That appears to be changing, which is a good thing.
Stop pretending to be Protestant!!
Your OPC members have already said before that
This is so clear
Why does the OPC pretend to be Christian and yet attack Protestants?
Thanks for putting Gods word in your post instead of just referencing it.
Which is quite the opposite of what happens in Dr. E’s OPC where the victim is shunned and attacked — all kept within the tiny cult of 10,000 adults/pederasts.
