In message delivered by his assistant at Uruguay conference Ban Ki-moon says occupation is morally and politically unsustainable and must therefore end. 'A way must be found for Jerusalem to emerge as a capital of two States,' he adds.
WASHINGTON United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon slammed Israel's policy and called for the division of Jerusalem on Tuesday. In a message delivered by his assistant at a UN regional meeting in Uruguay, Ban said: "The target date for completing the Palestinian Authoritys two-year State-building program is fast-approaching."
The occupation that started in 1967 is morally and politically unsustainable, and must end," he told the UN Latin American and Caribbean Meeting in Support of Israeli-Palestinian Peace.

this man king of the world?
His hatred of Israel is showing.
Ban Ki-Moon should quietly return to his own country and stop trying to run the world. Historically, Jerusalem belongs to the Hebrews, and has for 3,000 years.
There are only three counties where a “Palestinian” can vote. The US, Iraq and Israel.
Obama:'I Was Wrong To Promise An Undivided Jerusalem'
Or better yet, throw them out and let them squat in some third world hell hole instead of New York City.
Most of these UN worshippers think of the UN as a world government, so of course he’s going to try to “run the world”.
Yes, let’s side with Religeous fascists. Isn’t it great to sand on the side of those that force stonings, beheadings and restricting the freedoms of women!
I still can’t believe the overwhelming majority of American Jews supported this administration.
Many of the people pushing this are atheists with no thought to religious meaning and history. Obama's foreign policy advisers are very anti-Israel. He seems disconnected. The video at post #24 shows how easily he flip flops, like he is waiting for directions.
Israel made a mistake by not officially annexing Jerusalem and surrounding areas and tightly restricted access to Al-Aqsa. That would have given Israel another ‘card’ to play in the trading game that is the ‘peace process’ with the palestinians.
What the UN giveth, the UN can taketh away. Unfortunately.
Jordan is giving the Palestinians their land back?
Sensible people: end nonsense, divide Ban Ki-moon’s head from neck.
FU, Bankimoon.
What about the occupation that started in 70, preceded immediately by the massacre of at least 500,000 Jews? What about the Jordanians who didn’t let the Jews even visit the Old City from 1948-1967, and who used Jewish gravestones to construct toilets? Where is your supposed objectivity, your non-partisan representation of the entire world, you anti-Semitic sack of shiite?
I repeat, FU, Bankimoon. Enjoy roasting in Hell.
Oh, and before I forget, FUBO! Where’s that empty suit on this issue, the vapid, lying, moron? Where’s Secretary Lapdog Clinton? Why aren’t they condemning this jackass?
I know the answers, but I have to ask.
Not only are those facts you posted correct, but also there was never ANY Arab nation that made Jerusalem its capital.
Furthermore, the pislamic claims to Temple Mount and Jerusalem are VERY recent: http://www.eretzyisroel.org/~jkatz/templemount.html
Well, if we won't do it, He will. Jerusalem belongs to the Jews.
I think this is a Bill Clinton doctrine
Yeah, I hear that garbage all the time. Them people built an edifice on top of Judaism and no major leader of Islam ever visited it.
Makes you wonder why so many of their supposed “supporters” prefer them living in a Gaz Slum rather that trying to help them build a viable society. but then HATE is destructive.
The ME is a glaring example and ofcourse the Dummie Party.
