Threats Claim Nuclear Bombs Hidden All Over U.S.
CBS Chicago ^ | March 30, 2011 | Staff

Posted on 03/30/2011 6:22:44 AM PDT by library user

CHICAGO (CBS 2) – The threats came in the mail and to date, there have been 25 letters that warn of nuclear bombs destroying America.

People who got them called the FBI and CBS 2′s Kristyn Hartman learned, the Bureau’s Chicago office is leading the investigation.

FBI Special Agent Andre Zavala said, “Yes, they alarmed a lot of people.”

Attorney Tracy Rizzo was alarmed. A number of days ago, an envelope, with a Chicago postmark and a hand-written address to her private investigations firm, came in the mail.

The letter inside said, “The Al-Qaeda organization has planted 160 nuclear bombs throughout the U.S. in schools, stadiums, churches, stores, financial institutions and government buildings.” It also said, “This is a suicide mission for us.”

The writer, who claims to be Osama Bin Laden, tells the reader the nukes are remotely controlled. “It was clear the writer wanted to scare me,” said Rizzo, “Yes, it frightened me.” Rizzo was one of eight people in the Chicago area to contact the FBI.

Agencies in Oregon, California, Texas and Florida also got the letter with the Chicago postmark.

“There are items in the letter that lead us to believe it is a hoax,” said Zavala. “There are several demands documented that aren’t fully coherent.”

He said much of what’s in the message doesn’t add up, but in a post 9-11 world, the FBI can’t let it go – even if it does appear to be a hoax.

“The FBI investigates every element. We can’t take that chance,” said Zavala.

So, why the threats?

The writer alluded to how families in Afghanistan have to live. The FBI said it will find that writer, and when it does, he could face 5 to 10 years in prison for each letter mailed. Anyone who’s received a similar letter should call the FBI.

There is speculation that Gadaffhi (sp?) has around $20 billion in gold deep inside one of his palaces. I would not be surprised if/when his last act is to set off a dirty bomb contaminating it all.

You are soooo 1964!

Bond meets again with Goldfinger and begins to discuss Grand Slam, citing the fact that removing $15 billion in bullion from Fort Knox would be logistically impossible, taking several days. The plan would fail quickly when the United States armed forces would move in and stop the operation. Goldfinger counters by saying he has no plans to actually steal the gold from the depository; he will detonate a small nuclear bomb inside the vault area. Bond surmises that the entire gold supply of the United States will become radioactive for decades and therefore useless. Bond also predicts that the resulting financial meltdown of the United States economy will force other nations to buy gold from Goldfinger himself, substantially increasing the tycoon's wealth. Pussy Galore meets Bond an takes him on an impromptu tour of the ranch. In a nearby barn, the two match judo moves on each other until Bond is able to gain the upper hand and seduce Pussy.

er... well if they have weapons grade plutonium then they are going to have a bit of a hard time concealing that in the country that is monitoring down to the isotope level for radiation. These people are so full of hate they would have capped it off for the most death and terror effect possible.

If irrational and incoherent are clues as to the source, then everyone involved in writing the “Obamacare” bill needs to be added to the suspect list.

Funny how they were all signed “Love, Big Sis”.

Really, though. Anyone who would seriously question whether the American federal government could be pulling dirty tricks with this to further restrict Americans’ liberties is an America-hating domestic terrorist who wants to make sweet homosexual love to OSAMA BIN LADEN. I think all FReepers would agree with me that the people in the federal government are all above reproach and are paragons of moral purity and virtue. To question their motives suggest that they would do something underhanded is simply UNAmerican and terroristic.

Billy Ayers is NOT going to bomb the WH when his boy toy is in it.

They have had a sort of falling out. Kind of happens when you act like an imperialist and bomb and kill civilians, not to mention failing to close GITMO as well.

Secondly, if they truly want to achieve a revolution in the US they need a national crisis so sever that martial law needs to be imposed until a new “progressive” constitution” can be implemented.

If it starts to look like he'd be more valuable as a martyr, I think they'd do it in a heartbeat if they could pin it on "racist right wing fundamentalists".

“And they aren’t old cold war Russian nukes. The highly enriched plutonium or uranium in the trigger breaks down over time. Any weapon build before 1990 is a paperweight now unless new triggers have been put in place. And the trigger is the hardest part of the bomb to build. Again you might be able to build one or two at a university without everyone knowing. But 160, no freaking way.”

Perhaps I’m wrong, but I think you’re referring to fusion warheads. Fission bombs are set off by conventional high explosive, I think.

or Bernadine Dorn, ... his wife?

Didn't they brag about the bombs they set off in the late 6o’s 70’s?

If they said they had one or perhaps two I would be more concerned. But 160, come on. China is only estimated to have between 180 warheads in service.

They don't have to be actual warheads to be nuclear bombs - 'dirty' bombs are just as terrifying to a nuke-frightened public. Dirty bombs are probably all they can make, anyway.

Um, there is a former resident of Chicago who might have access to 160 nukes. And last time that _resident spoke, I heard he made several demands that were incoherent. Just sayin’.

Mitrohkin wrote that he SAW the info about the nuke caches in the KGB files. I have his book. He was able to provide locations, and several of the caches were dug up. Most were in underground concrete vaults, well camouflaged in rural areas. Hell, they found one in Switzerland!

During the Cold War we were thoroughly penetrated. When I was an aerospace engineer I ran into several obvious agents with poor covers (promptly reported to our Security Dept.).

Think of how many tons of drugs routinely enter our country along with millions of aliens. Pros could smuggle in nukes without a problem. I know for a fact that certain Border Patrol agents will let an 18 wheeler pass without inspection for about $500 (a guy told me that’s how he got his mother-in-law here from Mexico).

That is not to mention the “diplomatic pouches” that are actually ocean cargo containers which we are not allowed to open.

BTW, we penetrated the USSR many times. One of my friends went on 11 missions to Siberia way back when. We had airstrips cut in the Siberian wilderness.

IMHO this is all part of the game the terror types do. Chaos, intimidation, you name they use it all. Plus they use our resources to do us in.

Nixon at one point, during Watergate, was said to have said something along the line of, if I (Nixon) wanted to I (Nixon) could take out 80% of the American population in a matter of hours. Now if this is true and Nixon said such, zer0 is probably on the same page. Would zer0 do something like this? Wake up and smell the coffee time? May even be time for a stiff shot of something other than coffee.

Well I am surprised, I have tried to post something similar to this in the past (at post #157) and had the “Loose lips sink ships” in red below WordWrap: ON, show up repeatedly. Did not happen this time (at post #157)? I may pay for the post though. Remember lamestream media with zer0, in power, you and your families are in as much danger as the people in flyover.

Thanks for the info. I don’t doubt that we were (and are) compromised. But I was curious about the claim that nukes were stashed not because of the difficulty in smuggling them but because of the infrastructure that would be required. A watertight concrete bunker with a reliable power supply is about the minimum required infrastructure for storing a nuke, so that adds wieght to the claim. I still wonder how periodic maintenance was (is) handled.

“0bama would probably say we had it coming.”

The jerk actually said we would “absorb” the next attack.

Meaning we would do nothing.
