Report clears Justice Department in Black Panther case
By Krissah Thompson, Tuesday, March 29, 11:16 PM
The Justice Departments Office of Personnel Responsibility (OPR) has concluded an investigation finding that politics played no role in the handling of the New Black Panther Party case, which sparked a racially charged political fight.
After reviewing thousands of pages of internal e-mails and notes and conducting 44 interviews with department staff members, the OPR reported that department attorneys did not commit professional misconduct or exercise poor judgment and that the voter-intimidation case against the Panthers was dismissed on a good faith assessment of the law and not influenced by the race of the defendants.
The OPRs findings were released in a letter Tuesday to Rep. Lamar Smith (R-Tex.) that was signed by department attorney Robin Ashton.
The probe was an outgrowth of a political controversy over a 2008 voter-intimidation case against members of the New Black Panther Party. Some conservative lawyers, politicians and commentators have said that the Justice Departments Civil Rights Division improperly narrowed that case part of broader allegations among conservatives that the Obama Justice Department has failed to protect the civil rights of white voters. Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. and other Justice officials have strongly denied the charge.

Yep.
Wow.
Well, that's good enough for me. /s
The scum reaches high int he DOJ.
Next, we’ll have the BATFE clear itself in the Gunwalker scandal.
Win The Future?
Wow I feel better. Sorry but the FBI needs to investigate here. It’s obvious Eric Holder hates white people. If the case was reverse... Say KKK was sitting there trying to intimidate Black voters... I HIGHLY DOUBT that Eric Holder would dismiss this case.
“I did not have sex with that woman, Monica Lewinsky.” If I had anything in my stomach I’d probably puke.

The department’s new top ethics cop was herself a victim of the scandal over politicized hiring at Justice during the Bush years. Ashton was denied a promotion at the Executive Office for U.S. Attorneys, where she worked from 2001 to 2005, because she did not pass political muster with Monica M. Goodling, a Justice Department aide accused in government reports of being a central figure in the politicization.
Ashton was told she had a “Monica problem,’’ according to sources familiar with the events. In a 2007 congressional hearing, Goodling did not directly address whether Ashton was denied a promotion but acknowledged there had been tension between the two.

I agree. Politics had nothing to do with the DOJ refusing to prosecute this case of voter intimidation. Who was Democrat or who was Republican never entered the picture.
What really mattered was who was black and who was white. Anti-white racism and a black racist head of the DOJ had everything to do with it.
Hell, Holder admitted that he had no intentions of upholding equal justice under the hate crime laws when it came to white victims. How much clearer can he make it. This is an anti-white racist administration.
SurPRISE, surPRISE, surPRISE!!!!
Gooolleeeey!!!
(Doing my best Gomer Pile impersonation, of course.
It is all going to collapse. It will be ugly. I liken it to the Nuke problem in Japan.
I am with you sister. As I keep telling my wife, arrogance is a funny thing. Just a simple little thing has brought down the mightiest of them all.
Its a bit early for April Fools day.
Anyone out there believe ANYTHING that comes out of Obammy’s gub mint?
Well, alrighty, then. That clears that up. /s
