Yes, tax the Super Rich. Tax them now. Before the other 99% rise up, trigger a new American Revolution, a meltdown and the Great Depression 2.
We know the Super Rich dont care. Not about you. Nor the American public. They cant see. Cant hear. Stay trapped in their Forbes-400 bubble. An echo chamber that isolates them. They see the public as faceless workers, customers, taxpayers. See GOP power on the ascent. Reaganomics is back. Unions on the run. Clueless masses are easily manipulated.
Even Obama is secretly working with the GOP, will never touch his Super Rich donors. Yes, the Super-Rich Delusion is that powerful, infecting all America.
Heres how one savvy insider who knows described this Super-Rich Delusion: The top 1% live privileged lives, arent worried about much. Families vacation at the best resorts. Their big concerns are finding the best Pilates teacher, best masseuse, best surgeons, best private schools. They arent concerned with the underlying deterioration of America or the world, except in the abstract, because they arent directly affected by it. Thats not to say they arent sympathetic, aware, or dont talk about the issues you bring up. They are largely concerned with protecting and enhancing their socio-economic positions, ensuring their families live well. And nothing you write about will change things.

HEADS UP, DC!!!
No zombie dust bunnies peaking blasphemous prophecies about the linty end of everything?
I am feeling a bit better. Tasha is in the neighbors deep freeze until the middle of June.
Thank your neighbors for me. It’s so hard to wait to bury a loved one. Hang tough, Honey. Spring is just around the corner. Keep us posted about her burial. Most of us have lost at least one pet in our lives, so we all care.
That would be your department, Darks: Office of the Linty Prophecies of Doomed Zombie Lint Bunnehs.
I sure will thank them. I will keep you posted.
No angels needed. I've got a "Red Phone"; a direct line. My prayers all go straight to The Top for immediate attention. It was really expensive to get that set up, but somebody else put in all the blood, sweat, and tears to make it happen. He got the "front end" work all done the first day, then finished up the "back end" early in the morning on the third.
Oh, BTW, sometimes the angels get involved in bringing the answers. They really like it when they get to do that.
I curtesy to your experience, My Liege...
And THANKS!
Thanks! If you haven’t already guessed, FR is a BIG family, and the Undead Thread is only a small part of it. We all care about what happens to those in our “families.”
Rest easy.
I’ll help.
Thanks, Sis. This has been a nasty week for me, but my friend and her hubby are going through things I can’t even imagine.
Prayers are awesome!
Now it's off to church for Evening Prayer & Lenten Bible Study. (The only one I will be able to attend.)
Thanks, sion. *hug*
May all your cups be filled to the Darksheare acceptable level!
Nice post HTB.
TC, re 582...Hubby LHHO. Progressive lenses!
Darks, I think the first glass was probably sand that had been hit by lighting. Once they figured out how to make it, at will, they could then use it in the walls to see the raiders before their doors were knocked in, and their women and children killed.
Its possible.
Bob,
I haven’t read Harry Potter.
If I could have any life?
Hmmm.
Anyway, that’s not magic. It’s science. And art. And beauty.
Hi Face, Sion, DC, Cold One, HKMk23.
I’m praying for you.
I’ll pray for them Sis!
Read Harry Potter...one book at a time, from the first to the seventh. It’s a delightful escape into a world that is like ours but much more magical.
The next books I would recommend are “Percy Jackson and the Olympians.” (Five books.) (Mythology come to life!)
We all need to take a breather from whatever life has to dish out.
JRR Tolkien: The Lord of the Rings (and the Hobbit) (4)
JK Rowling: Harry Potter (7)
Rick Riordan: Percy Jackson and The Olympians (5)
CS Lewis: The Chronicles of Narnia (7)
There are many other books, of course, but not many with such realistic backgrounds.
You will find science, art and beauty in all of them. The nice thing about them is that you can RELATE!!!
I appreciate it! Now that the pain of the dental work has worn off and I have a working dryer, I’m feeling all chirpy again. And here’s a cricket cheerfully cricking in the anole cage to help us feel the outdoor ambience ...
DP should have an offer from a very successful company in a week or so. It would be nice if he cleaned the garage while he was between jobs, or got the boys to mow the lawn.
Most people don't get it.
Science, and art, and beauty are magic! Magic isn't what the thing is, it's how you see it.
Soap bubbles are magic. Rubber bands are magic. Feathers are magic.
Take feathers just as an example: Imagine a world without feathers. You can define them anyway you like, as modified scales and such, but just picture a world without them.
Lizards and snakes of course. Insects flying, maybe even bats. But no birds. A Rachel Carson world.
Now invent feathers. Propagate them virally, so that they infect the whole animal kingdom. Now the birds return, and flocks of them fill the skies.
The world is back the way it was before.
But wait! Something's wrong!
Did you forget to let the birds sing?
