Donald Trump says he was able to get his hands on his birth certificate within an hour, so why can't President Obama?
"Somebody asked me today, 'Can I see your birth certificate?' I had it in my hands in less than an hour," Trump told Fox's Greta Van Susteren tonight on On The Record.

During a phone interview, Van Susteren asked Trump why he doesn't believe President Obama was born in the United States.
"I want to see his birth certificate," Trump said, "He doesn't have it. He spent millions of dollars on lawyers trying to get out of the issue. They give what's called a certificate of live birth which doesn't even have a signature on it, and anybody can get a certificate of live birth. It's nothing to do with a birth certificate."

This is what Americans use to be known for. This attitude is what made America unique and strong. We now have obama blazing the path of the "New American". Hopefully, him and his henchmen can be stopped. I don't really care for Trump, but we do need more of his attitude.
Obama did not show a certificate - it is a certification of live birth. Not a certificate of live birth which is a huge difference. A certificate is the long form, a certification is well - nothing!
Why do I have the feeling the next time he’s asked about his birth certificate, Obama will somehow get the kinetic engagement in Libya in as a way to shame the questioner?

I have the exact same type as Trump. I, too, was born in NYC. That IS the original. No other form exists. Not with the NYCDH or any other City agency. It is accepted as legal proof in a court of law. All records are on microfiche anyway, so if you lose the original, you just get a copy of the record.

That is a hospital birth certificate and is not proof. They are quite grand-looking, though.
Boy he sure is pushing Obama’s and the liberal’s buttons isn’t he? I think he is also trying to appeal to the tea party since he knows many question why Obama’s been so adamant about hiding all of his records.He IS right Obama is young enough that there has to be someone in that delievery room who is still alive.For example I am 9 months older than Obama is and the doctor that delievered me lives next door to my brother.
I know a lot of people in Mexico and they say the same thing, Obama is not an American, he’s an illegal. Its been on their TV also..maybe they have a little more insight about illegals...

Not true, The parents don’t have to be Natural Born Citizens just Citizens at the time of birth. In Trumps case his mother was born in Scotland, came to the US, got married and then became a US Citizen prior to the birth of Donald.
Not from what I understand about Hawaii law.The COLB is a separate document that anyone can file to get in the first year of life no matter where they were born.One of the Japanese generals in WWII boosted of having one.
I have a hospital certificate like Trump’s, too. It’s quite nice, but it is not the legal government-issued (numbered, with seal and signature) that is required for most official transactions requiring proof of identity.
Many people have two, both the hospital paper and the official state-issued certificate that includes all the birth details reported to the Dept. of Health by the hospital.
