Madison - Gov. Scott Walker's administration is no longer collecting dues on behalf of state unions and as of Sunday began charging employees more for health care and their pensions, even though nonpartisan legislative attorneys say the changes are not yet law.
Administration Secretary Mike Huebsch said Monday administration attorneys have determined the law is now in effect. State workers will receive paychecks April 21 that reflect the changes, he said in a conference call with reporters.

Wowser. Way to go WI!
Gov. Scott Walker’s administration is no longer collecting dues on behalf of state unions
Cue the apoplexy music at AFSCME hq.
great news. for once the gop knows how to deal with nazi democrats.
I guess they are telling that female judge to go pound sand.... That this law is in effect until a court rules against it. So when is the next slacker conniption fit at the State Capitol?

Nonpartisan? Sure. :-\

Teachers Union Boss --- I am being robbed of my union dues, how am I going to pay for my new boat?
There are 3 separate lawsuits pending in the courts and the legislature and the governor are not waiting for the courts to decide how bills are passed.
Wisconsin union bosses to members -—
“Please mail in your dues. Pretty please”
SCOTT WLKER FOR PRESIDENT!
Stupid RATS didn’t know the right entity to get a TRO against.
Dept. of Administration head Mike Huebsch said he didnt believe the Secy. of State has the authority to withdraw a publication date after it has been indicated. Huebsch also said Judge Sumis ruling did not block the Legislative Reference Bureau from moving forward with publication or the DOA from implementing the law.
So you go ahead kids, have your little day in court, but the adults are takin’ care of bizness.
This is ultimately what the Rats were fighting because it means the gravy train has just derailed.
Without compulsory membership and payroll deduction of dues...they are HISTORY.
Yeah, they'll get help from the nation orgs in the near term...but as the same laws begin to emerge in other states the nation coffers will being to run dry.
And, you can expect the unions to spend every last dime they have on the 2012 elections...even borrowing from their own under-funded pension funds.
The bleeding has begun.
The delicious part is now the lazy parasites who run these public sector unions are going to have to scramble to put in place a way to collect dues. They were too lazy to collect them....they intimidated the State of Wisconsin to do their work for them
I think that cartoon has is bass ackwards.
SPUNK! At last. Meanwhile back in Washington the Whiglicans are pawing the ground and mumbling about chump change.
maybe a doorknocking /kneecapping campaign.
What’s missing from the article: Does the average WI government worker end up with more or less in their paycheck? Union dues not deducted = more $ in the paycheck. Healthcare deductions increased = less $ in the paycheck. So what’s the net result? It’s an obvious question, and a good reporter would have answered it in their article.
