You're the one who made the charge. It's your job to back it up. I told you that "as far as I recall", she hadn't taken a position on it.
So, she said that, "it's a distraction." Alright. That's not taking a definitive position on the matter, one way or another.
All that says to me, is, like most people in America, she's got to look over the evidence of Obama's eligibility (such as it is) and come to some sort of conclusion about what's going on there, based on what she sees.
Obama hasn't exactly made that real easy for anyone, now has he? Who knows how many roadblocks and dead ends even influential people have run into, while trying to find out the truth about Obama's bona fides? Who knows how hard any of them have even looked? I can also guarantee you that most high profile political personalities don't spend the sort of time learning about these things (at places like FR) as we do. I'll bet that most of them aren't a tenth as informed about all this, as your average Freeper is.
If I'm going to find fault with anyone in the public eye for not digging into this issue, it's those in the media, including those on the right. It's their job to become as well-informed as possible on things like this, and to put that data into public circulation. So far, they've failed miserably.
I have never thought one way or another about Trump. Another guy making lots of money, and doing it well...But he, alone, for whatever reason, is bringing sunlight to this evil coverup. Props to him
Indeed, although my guess is that Donald Trump also didn't spend the sort of time that we do, researching the bc issue. Someone boiled it all down for him, and got him to look at it. My guess is, he knows a bombshell when he sees one, and he ran with it to skewer Bozo, and to pump up his own notoriety.

The media didn’t vote to accept the Electoral College results. It was our traitors in Congress. This issue was raised to them before the election. The cowards who ran for office, and the those that won are the ones that have enalbled the Usurper and trashed the clear meaning of Article 2.

Your entire concern seems to be based upon the fear that the left-wing will try to demonize and ridicule conservatives over this issue calling them birthers, racists, etc….
But when is there ever an issue whereas the left does not resort to these type of tactics of demonizing or ridiculing those who disagree. Many people claim the same things you are about other issues as well like the issues of Life and Marriage. They claim just as you do that these will hurt conservatives chances to win elections.
The issue of Obama’s real identity and Constitutional eligibility are important issues. Any Constitutional issue is a conservative issue.
Personally I think it is the people who continually try to undermine conservatism by claiming that conservative issues are too dangerous to our chances to win are the ones that are hurting our chances.
Trying to elect conservative candidates means standing up for conservative issues. It is not a case of having to pick one over the other as you seem to think.

Actually, I think it's a manufactured distraction aimed at dividing Obama's opposition.
If enough of the base GOP gets all worked up about it, GOP candidates will be forced to choose between pandering to birthers, and thereby looking ridiculous by endorsing an absurd conspiracy theory, or turning off the base by dismissing birtherism for the absuridty it is.
Those polls of GOP voters on the birther question make me want to do a face palm. And then with that idiot Michelle Bachmann entering the race, oy vey...

I disagree. This suggests that Obummer KNEW from the start that this issue would sprout legs and become his chariot to guaranteed re-election. I don't think that's the case. And I don't believe there IS such a piece of paper that will win the day for him.
My best guess is that Hawaii changed the original upon Obummer's adoption in Indonesia and a "notation" was made. Therefore, there MIGHT be a birth certificate for Barry Soetoro but no longer one for Barack Hussein Obama Jr.
Further, I suspect his school records would show him using the name Barry Soetoro to apply as a foreign student. Citizenship in Indonesia (ask about the passport that got him to Pakistan) would blow Natural Born out of the water. (My understanding is that both parents must be American to qualify as a Natural Born Citizen, which ALSO blows him out of the water!)
Finally, just to keep the pot well-stirred, I believe he decided to use his "American" name of BHO but found his paper trail was littered with Barry Soetoro, hence the massive coverup.
All the phony Social Security numbers just shows what a cocky, coke-addled college student will do for extra beer money, without thinking that it might land him in prison. If the phony Selective Service registration doesn't land him in the Crossbar Hilton first!
