Thanks for posting the link. One thing all governments and bureaucracies have in common: they love paper work and most retain records forever.

I’ve said it before to no avail, but maybe a few more of you will get it if I keep repeating it. The individual with the greatest interest in keeping the Birther story alive is Obama.

His strategy - which helped him win the Presidency - is to portray all criticism him and his statist policies as the product of ignorant, racist conspiracy-mongering. To that end, he and his friends in the media such as MSNBC keep the Birther story alive - hoping it will help him in 2012 as it did in 2008. The great majority of conservative and libertarian opponents of Obama see that the Birther issue is a distraction that can only benefit Obama, and want no part of this idiocy.

Even before modern computer tech paper records were being shifted to microfilm of microfiche. I would imagine that those have been converted to computer. The paper may be gone but records should still exist.

Donald Trump is not backing away from this because his instincts suspect fraud. In the View interview he said growing up and doing business in NY he has seen many degrees of fraud, and this smells. (paraphrase)

“His strategy - which helped him win the Presidency - is to portray all criticism him and his statist policies as the product of ignorant, racist conspiracy-mongering.”

What proof do you have of this claim?

“The great majority of conservative and libertarian opponents of Obama see that the Birther issue is a distraction that can only benefit Obama, and want no part of this idiocy.”

What proof do you have of this assertion? Polls would suggest otherwise.

Background:

http://the.honoluluadvertiser.com/article/2008/Dec/22/ln/hawaii812220320.html

She did not know Obama’s mother, Ann Dunham, while they were in labor together on Aug. 4, 1961, at the old Kapiolani Maternity and Gynecological Hospital.

But (Eleanor) Nordyke was a population research fellow at the East-West Center while Dunham was there.

She recalls that Obama’s birth notice was published several days before her daughters’ notice, even though Obama’s mother, Stanley Ann Dunham, was admitted to Kapiolani Hospital after Nordyke entered the hospital. Obama was born on a Friday, and the Nordyke twins were born on a Saturday, she said.

Nordyke’s late husband, Dr. Robert Nordyke, was an internal medicine specialist at Honolulu’s Straub Clinic.

“My daughters’ birth certificates were 10637 and 10638, and Obama’s was 10641, so his mother must have come in after I did,” Nordyke said, though she never met Obama’s mother.

The fact that the MainStreamMedia refuses to investigate or publish anything critical of socialists and the socialist agenda raises very serious questions about where their loyalties lie and how they view their country.

The obvious answer is that the MainStreamMedia simply hate the very idea of the Republic as set up in 1787,and that they are committed to destroying the United States as a free nation.

Miracle Max: He probably owes you money huh? I’ll ask him.
Inigo Montoya: He’s dead. He can’t talk.
Miracle Max: Whoo-hoo-hoo, look who knows so much. It just so happens that your friend here is only MOSTLY dead. There’s a big difference between mostly dead and all dead. Mostly dead is slightly alive. With all dead, well, with all dead there’s usually only one thing you can do.
Inigo Montoya: What’s that?
Miracle Max: Go through his clothes and look for loose change.

Klein is also the one who fabricated or repeated the axelgreasy lie that all paper records had been destroyed when the electronic COLBs were produced in Hawaii. He had Lou Dobbs tell that great lie on CNN airtime more than once knowing it was a complete lie. Scum has a way of filthying up the surface of a pond ... Klein is scum, but he’s the dead soul scum the owners of CNN want in charge so they can ‘herd’ the masses foolish enough to trust them.

Then why is he addressing it as a dead story... Kind of like those who wish for there to be no God, run around chanting, “God is dead, God is dead...” which begs the question, “if you don’t believe in God, how can you proclaim Him to be dead?” The implication is that God must really exist, at least in the minds of those who wish him not to exist.

In the same way, the “non-story” of the birth certificate, of which there has been no proof of existence, is now a “dead-story”, only begs the question; What proof can you provide that there is a (really-really-real) birth certificate? and if there is non, how can you proclaim it to be a dead story? It is a stalemate at best, and as long as there are questions, it remains a story... as long as you say, “pay no attention to the man behind the curtain”, people will be looking at the man behind the curtain.

CNN researchers had determined Hawaiian officials discarded paper birth documents in 2001

Yu would think that an organization like CNN could come up with a better excuse than "The dog ate my homework."

Modern technology has old records being copied in secure electronic ... and digitally permanent ... formats.

Paper might be gone, but the records aren’t.

Exactly. Here are a few things from Hawaii that support that. From the Department of Hawaiian Homelands brochure:

The state Department of Health, the state Archives, and the state Bureau of Conveyances are just a few places where you can look for and obtain primary and secondary documents. Certified copies of records can be obtained for a fee.

How do they define primary documents?

Birth certificates (Certificates of Live Birth and Certifications of Live Birth) and Certificates of Hawaiian Birth are the primary documents used to determine native Hawaiian qualification.

Okubo said:

...all information for births from 1908 (on) was put into electronic files for consistent reporting

That just proves that all the information in the original Certificate of Live Birth is still available. How do I know this ? It is the law in Hawaii. From the Hawaii Revised Statutes:

92-31 Disposition of original record. A photograph, microphotograph, reproduction on film, or electronic form of a government record shall be placed in conveniently accessible files and provisions made for preserving, examining, and using the same. Thereafter, a public officer, after having first received the written approval of the comptroller as provided in section 94-3, may cause such record, paper, or document to be destroyed. The comptroller may require, as a prerequisite to the granting of such approval, that a reproduction or print of such photograph, microphotograph, or reproduction on film, or electronic form of the record be delivered into the custody of the public archives for safekeeping. The comptroller may also require the delivery into the custody of another governmental department or agency or a research library of any such record, paper, or document proposed to be destroyed under the provisions of this section.

So, either the original microfiche copy is still available or a complete reproduction of it in electronic form is available. To put something in electronic form and not copy all the data on the original document would be against the law. Where these files have to be accessible and provisions have to be made for examining them, it would be misleading for the Department of Health to say that the information on the original Certificate of Live Birth is no longer available. Under Hawaii Revised Stautes 338-18, those with a direct and tangible interest in the record are permitted inspection of public health statistics records. That would include either the microfiche or electronic copy of the original Certificate of Live Birth.

Okay...the birth certificate has been destroyed and the form we have been shown is the official document. Fine.

Now, how about Obama's school records and a ton of other documents he has spent millions to hide? Have they been destroyed too? Are they not newsworthy?
