“Last year, more than 200 million people in 128 countries participated in the event.”

I wonder if they counted me in that total? I participated by fully illuminating my house and yard.

After katrina and the Japanese earthquake, these idiotic earthies should figure out that the earth hates them, but if they want to continue worshiping their abusive gad, then so be it.

"In one hour you can't save enough energy to make a significant impact on the country or the world,"

I suspect most conservatives live "greener" as a normal part of life than the greenies do.

A power plant cannot quickly adjust for a decrease in load so it sends the excess power to heating coils that boil water.

When you see large amounts of steam coming from cooling towers, you know the plant is making excess power.

It takes a while to adjust to big changes in demand.

Changing for an hour would not accomplish anything.

Real reason - Libtards know they are a dimishing population. So, with an hour in the dark it is hoped that more lil’ bastar - oops! more Libtards will be spawned.

“Last year, more than 200 million people in 128 countries participated in the event. “

And just WHO conducted that survey?

“Last year, more than 200 million people in 128 countries participated in the event.”

Hat tip to Marshall McLuhan for pointing out, nearly 50 years ago, that the advent of "electric" information technology will usher in the era of the "Global Village" and the tribal society.

It’s just more feel good BS. Electricity is one of the best things that’s ever happened to us. I strung up Christmas lights too, just to piss off my lefty neighbors.

This type of thing (Earth Hour) is just one of many different types of Liberal masturbation.

It would be hilarious if it weren’t so disturbing that so many are sucked in by it.

That reminds me, it is exactly the same time as my annual “LIGHT UP THE WORLD” hour, where we turn on every electrical appliance, spool up the hot tub and then sit back in all the bubbles and look how pretty it looks from outside!

Would be interesting to note the spike in crime (burglaries, robberies, rape, petty larceny, etc.) during this period of self-imposed blackout.

In North Korea every hour is earth hour.

I have to get a new light bulb for my front porch. You can't scoff at earth hour if your bulb is burned out.

These morons haven't figured out yet that the one volcano that just erupted in Iceland negated all the energy saving, clean air efforts and CO2 emissions that every human being in the existence of the earth has ever tried to counter.
