Earth Hour labelled a waste of time

The chairman of Western Australia's largest sustainability program says Earth Hour is tokenistic and a waste of time.
Since 2007, the Earth Hour campaign has been encouraging people to turn off their lights simultaneously for one hour to show their support for making a stand against climate change.
Last year, more than 200 million people in 128 countries participated in the event.
John Carlson, from the not-for-profit initiative Days of Change, says the event gives people a false sense of achievement.
"In one hour you can't save enough energy to make a significant impact on the country or the world," he said.

I wonder if they counted me in that total? I participated by fully illuminating my house and yard.
After katrina and the Japanese earthquake, these idiotic earthies should figure out that the earth hates them, but if they want to continue worshiping their abusive gad, then so be it.
A power plant cannot quickly adjust for a decrease in load so it sends the excess power to heating coils that boil water.
When you see large amounts of steam coming from cooling towers, you know the plant is making excess power.
It takes a while to adjust to big changes in demand.
Changing for an hour would not accomplish anything.
Real reason - Libtards know they are a dimishing population. So, with an hour in the dark it is hoped that more lil’ bastar - oops! more Libtards will be spawned.

Same here, and I’ve just stocked up on incandescent bulbs for these year’s festivities! Hmmmm, this seems like a good night to do some laundry too.
