Its the only one with running water, sheets on the beds and curtains on the windows.
Just kidding but not far off. In Teheran (72-74) there was the Intercontinental and the Sheraton, anything else and it was pot luck.

Fine.
First let’s admit that Gadaffi was /is/will be a terrorist and an enemy of USA and the Western world.
Two, let’s wipe him and his clan out.
Three, let’s prop a deputy of his to wipe out the Al Qaida vermin.

“Good thing theres a no-fly zone, eh?”
Fer sure!
Maybe we could cram a few Tornados/Mirages/F-18s into the hotel the press is staying at. That will protect them and all visitors! /sarc

None of our business. We should not be wasting troops and $$ on a Moslem civil war.
Quadaffi has been in power over 40 years. Lockerbie was in 1988, 23 years ago. Ask yourself why the sudden interest in knocking off Quadaffi? IMHO Quadaffi, Mubarak, along with the US middle class have outlived their usefulness.
Who would we prop up? Based upon what criteria? If Quadaffi goes, most likely the Moslem Brotherhood will take over, just as they are taking over in Egypt. The Moslem Brotherhood whose goal is a world wide caliphate.
Better we should secure our northern and southern borders, expel the ~ 40 million illegal aliens many of whom commit violent and vicious crimes against Americans every day, give immigration the tools and manpower it needs to assess all visa applications in a timely accurate manner so that no more Jihadis enter on J-1 or H-1B visas, become energy independent...

Who are you alerting? Congress critters would be the only ones who could do something about it but they’re more concerned with getting re-elected than with the welfare of this nation.

And of all dictators in the Middle East this terrorist SOB was the worst for us, much worst than Saddam.I think of Gaddafi as an aggressive retard, with more money than brains. He couldn't even overrun Chad, a military non-entity. In contrast, Saddam came extremely close to defeating Iran, the traditional regional power, which was armed with the latest American weaponry. Saddam also moved to unify Arabia (and its oil reserves), with the invasion of Kuwait as his first move. All-in-all, Gaddafi is like a street thug compared to Saddam's La Cosa Nostra. But more to the point, Gaddafi had made peace with us, and given up his nukes, whereas Saddam hadn't.
