I read this in a post on HotAir on Tuesday.A poster had flagged an article from the Camp LeJeune base newspaper. The Kearsarge MEU, the 26th, is already doing its float on scene. The 173rd Airborne Bde in Vincenza Italy is on,according to another HA poster, 18 hour alert status. Two MEUs and an airborne bde. seem a substantial force for an expansion of our current “kinetic military action”. BTW, IIRC the 26th MEU is a special ops capable unit.

"BTW, IIRC the 26th MEU is a special ops capable unit."

Every ARG carries a full contingent of of SEALs and Sniper-Scouts.

With two ARGs and an airborne brigade, we can put between 7 and 10,000 light, mobile infantry into that mess in less than 6 hours.

They will bring their own helo and air support along with 30 days of all supplies. Two combat hospitals aboard the command ships.

And, they will have been wasted if the commie in chief is dumb enough to deploy them.

I wish for a military coup in the USA.

When I was on Sasebo amphibs supporting the 31st MEU on Okinawa SOC was an annual qual for both the Marines and the ships. I wouldn't read a lot into it.
