I sense that the mood of the electorate is that the stimulus and obamacare were just fun and games, but when you commit us to a war without end, you’ve gone a bridge too far. Right and left are both starting to abhor him, and that’s not a good place for a president to be.

A letter? Boehner wrote Obama a letter? What a namby pamby! We didn’t need another one in Washington! Where is the outrage? Where are the impeachment proceedings? Where are the strong Godly men who fulfill their oaths of office?

They’ll have to have somebody come down for a stroking session, or else Congress WILL cut their funding off, albeit temporarily.

Far too long, too vague, and too polite. Who on earth is going to read this thing?

And he says he is “troubled.” Gee, that’s too bad, Boner. I’m sure Obama didn’t mean to trouble you. That’s probably why he didn’t involve you in the process. Go have a drink or something, and calm down.

What a useless wimp.

This is a weak letter. The Speaker should have reminded the president that absent a threat to the USA requiring immediate action, the authority to go to war rests with the United States Congress, per the Constitution. (Any other interpretation renders meaningless the power to declare war.) Congress should vote on this, not merely be consulted.

You beat me!

What are they waiting for? He’s a poser and a fraud, has absolute disdain for the republic and no respect for our constitution.

He has violated the oath of office many times.

Who will stand?

Exactly. I think Boehner needed to use fighting words (”unconstitutional”) then start impeachment proceedngs immediately

Actually, Boehner asks a lot of very pertinent questions. He isn’t dealing in generalities. If the first paragraph nods toward Zeroman and the Office of the Presidency could’ve been left out, it would’ve been better.

But then Boehner wouldn’t have been demonstrating “civility”.

I don’t think it’s a bad letter overall.

I wish Allen West would of wrote a letter to Obama...can you imagine what he would of said,

wtf? who do you think you are...what is the end game son, but of course, more eloquently...

I wonder, were there teardrop stains on that letter...bet John cried while writing it...

I think you’re right. This was no softball it was a shot across 0bambi’s bow. Whether Boehner follows up and backs it up is open to question and time will tell but this was a serious message indicating that Boehner will take a stand.

I and the other citizens of the world and assorted fellow travelers are deeply saddened that our Chosen One, our Nobel Peace Laureate, the Chalice of all our hopes and dreams, Obama the Merciful and Beneficent, has abandoned the road of peace that we thought we where embarking on when The One was elected.

Wait! It's not his fault! That witch Hillary Rodham Clinton goaded him into it, if not put a spell on him. Whew! That's a relief. He's still our man!

"...a couple of F-16 pilots were on the ground recently...does that count?"

Really? When, where, why?

If I were Speaker of the House, I wouldn’t have written that letter with such a respectful tone.

I think a full list of charges, with the date of the Congressional hearing would have been more appropriate.

I have no use for Boehner. He is a wimp. I was floored with the crybaby stuff. How can you take a man seriously when he acts like a girl?

I'll agree with you that he's turning out to be a wimp, but I don't think he's got any control over the water works. Just a personality quirk he's got.
