.......The letter by substitute teacher Tony Hill was read aloud Thursday as the state Senate considered one of five bills on illegal immigration. Hill wrote that a majority of eight-grade students at an unnamed suburban Glendale school said that "We are Mexicans and Americans stole our land.
Hill..."most of the Hispanic students do not want to be educated but rather (want to) be gang members and gangsters."
Democratic lawmakers...questioned the veracity of the letter, which was addressed to Senate President Russell Pearce and was circulated among Republican senators. Democrats called the writing offensive and questioned whether Hill was actually a substitute teacher.
"Until he is able to come out and tell us exactly where he taught, I am assuming it is false," said Democratic Sen. Steve Gallardo of Phoenix, who is mentioned in Hill's letter.
.....Arizona Department of Education spokesman Andrew LeFevre said Hill received his substitute teacher certificate from the state on Oct. 14.
.....Hill didn't immediately return several phone calls and emails from the AP on Tuesday.
Hill also wrote in the letter that the students' regular teacher left instructions for students to finish writing Gallardo to thank him for his position on immigrant rights. The letter also said most of the students mentioned in their letters to Gallardo that they were illegal immigrants and that white Americans were racists.
Gallardo said it's hard to believe Hill's contention that students refused to say the Pledge of Allegiance, and he called for apologies from Pearce for distributing the letter and from Republican Sen. Lori Klein for reading it during last week's debate on the immigration bills.
Several gasps could be heard in the Senate chamber after Klein finished, and Gallardo responded by defending children in two heavily Hispanic school districts where he's served as a school board member....

Dear Senator Russell Pearce,
I am compelled to write to you about a recent event that occurred to me. I currently work as a substitute teacher in the west valley areas of Phoenix, Glendale, and Peoria. I was called upon to teach history and language arts for 8th grade at a Glendale public school. The number of students I had in each class ranged from 28 to 38 children, which were almost all Hispanic and a couple of Black children. The day started out as usual turning on the television listening and watching the announcements and saying the Pledge of Allegiance. During the Pledge of Allegiance I notice the vast majority of students refusing to stand and say the pledge. I asked the students why they refused to say the Pledge of Allegiance and they responded by saying, "we are Mexicans and Americans stole our land."
The teacher's instructions were for the students to read a few pages and answer the questions regarding Mark Twain in their history textbook and to finish their final drafts to Senator Steve Gallardo thanking him for his position on Illegal Immigration rights. Their teacher apparently had showed them a video with Senator Steve Gallardo and Lou Dobbs. Most of the students came unprepared for class not possessing paper and pencil. I provided the students with paper and pencils only to have them wade-up the paper and throw it at each other along with their pencils.
The students' final drafts that I read were basically the same. Most of them stated they were in the country illegally, White Americans are racist, and that they came here for a better life. I asked the class if America adopted Mexico immigration laws would Americans still be consider racist?
That question they could not answer and called me a racist for asking it. I mentioned that my wife and children are Hispanic so how could I be racist? I asked the students to stop speaking Spanish in class because it was impolite to speak a language in front of people who may not speak that language. Their response was that Americans better learn Spanish and their customs because they are taking their land back from us.
When it came to completing the Mark Twain assignment only 10 students completed it out of all my classes. Most of the students refused to open the book, tore the pages out of the book, or threw the textbooks at each other. I thought are these the students we are trying to educate with taxpayers money. I have found that substitute teaching in these areas most of the Hispanic students do not want to be educated but rather be gang members and gangsters. They hate America and are determined to reclaim this area for Mexico. If we are able to remove the illegals out of our schools, the class sizes would be reduced and the students who wanted to learn would have a better chance to do so and become productive citizens.
I applaud and support your efforts to stop this invasion into our state and country. When the citizens of a country are forced to speak the invaders language, adopt their customs, and forced to support them, are we not a conquer nation? I do not want to see our state and nation turned into a third world country. Thank you for standing up to this invasion. You may contact me by phone, e-mail, or mail. Thank you, again.
Sincerely,
Tony Hill

Mrkd
The writing skills seem about par for a typical ed school grad.
He took the time to write.
March 22, 2011 — NYT:”Obama Calls for an Economic Cure for Illegal Immigration”
“....Mr. Obama, in a private meeting and a subsequent news conference with El Salvadors president, Mauricio Funes, said he remained committed to seeking a comprehensive overhaul of immigration law that both enhances American border security and provides a path to citizenship for illegal immigrants who have lived for years in the United States and have jobs and families.
But that legislative goal, which Mr. Obama shelved in his first two years in office as he focused on the economy and overhauling the health-insurance system, is moribund now that Republicans, who oppose a citizenship process, have taken control of the House. In the news conference, Mr. Obama noted that some Republicans, including his 2008 presidential rival, Senator John McCain of Arizona, previously supported a comprehensive approach.
My hope, he said, is that they begin to recognize over the next year that we cant solve this problem without taking a broad, comprehensive approach a prospect that is not considered at all likely as the 2012 elections approach. The politics of this are difficult, Mr. Obama conceded, but ultimately I am confident that we are going to get it done.
.....It is estimated that more than two million people from El Salvador are now in the United States, legally and illegally. That is equal to about a third of this countrys current population, underscoring the scale of migration north in the three decades since the civil war of the 1980s began here, a conflict in which the United States backed the rightist government against the leftist rebels....”
The letter rings true to me. The Latinos who say this letter is a lie...What will they say when the writer identifies himself and the schools this took place?
They'll move to destroy him.
Alinsky's Rule #13: identify, isolate, freeze and escalate.
They’ll move to destroy him.>>>>>>>>>>
That is why the writer was anonymous plus he needs the substitute teacher pay unlike the Latino hacks on the public payroll...who are protected in their sinecures.
The libs control the schools there and won’t phone him up with subbing jobs

TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) Some state lawmakers are demanding an apology after an inflammatory letter from a substitute teacher, blasting Hispanic students, made its way to the senate floor. The letter was addressed to Senate President Russell Pearce. He defends the letter writer but some other lawmakers are calling it a hoax.
Tony Hill, a substitute teacher, signed the letter and even provided his contact information at the end of it.
In the letter, Hill said he wanted to share his experience with Pearce after teaching history and language arts for 8th grade students at a Glendale public school. Hill did not name the school. Nor does he ask that his letter be made public.
If those that can see, chose to be blind, then they are blinder than the blind!
Thank you for that information.
I think voters should demand Senator Steve Gallardo read and share letters he's received from AZ students.
I think voters should demand Senator Steve Gallardo>>>>>>>>
These Latino supremacists on the public payroll don’t want to hear the truth about how Mexican students behave in schools plus how many of these kids are anchor babies (parents are illegal) and how many are illegal aliens edumacated at taxpayer expense?
vs
"Until he is able to come out and tell us exactly where he taught, I am assuming it is false," said Democratic Sen. Steve Gallardo...
Typical democrat/Alinsky clone, forget the facts, just cast aspersions. Oh, and a perfect example of "assume".
Apology from who?
bttt
Anyone who thinks that giving our country away to uneducated, low skilled invaders from another country is wrong would be my guess.
This problem exists throughout Arizona. The anti-American and anti-intellectual illegals are especially noisome at Tucson High, in Douglas schools, and everywhere in Santa Cruz county. What little is being taught is not worth the expense. Disciplined charter and private schools are the answer to a public school system that is rotten to the core.
Time to show them what real consequences are and kick their ungrateful butts back over the border. They want to be gangsters and drug dealer? They love Mexico and the lifestyle there so much? GO BACK AND LIVE THERE!!!
These kids are being brainwashed to be the foot soldiers and cannon-fodder in the next war. Prepare people, prepare....
I live in Glendale, the southern part of it is mexico. The northern part has Trent Franks for our rep.
