Prosecutors: 'Disabled' S.F. worker ran trail race
San Francisco Chronicle ^ | 3/22/11 | Bob Egelko, Chronicle Staff Writer

SAN FRANCISCO -- Emily Hegner competed in a seven-mile Muir Woods run in April 208 that included a chunk of the grueling Dipsea trail. She did all right, finishing 12th out of 23 women in her age group.

But three months earlier, according to the state Department of Insurance, Hegner was classified as disabled and was collecting workers' compensation benefits because of injuries she reported suffering in a slip-and-fall accident as a San Francisco hospital worker.

And nearly five months after the race, the department said, she told an orthopedic surgeon she was in pain most of the time, couldn't return to work and needed a cane to walk or climb stairs.

If you’re going to screw over the insurance compamies or worker’s comp boards, you need to make a stop at Lourdes, France before foinf anything physical.

My neighbor behind me makes a living off of this. That is he makes a living off of watching and filming these scum bag leaches and turning the tapes over to the insurance companies and courts.

90% of Workers Comp cases are complete fakers.

The 10% of workers that are truly injured get terrible treatment.

I used to work in the LA area 15 years ago and workers comp abuse was rampant then. The system was rigged against the employer and sometimes even when you had proof it was fraud they still would protect the employee.

"Your Honor, running helps ease the pain."

Hundreds of thousands.

SSI Disability is even worse. Filmed a guy selling crack on his porch one day and Home Depot truck shows up with a forklift and unloads a whole sealed pallet of quick creet (sp?) concrete.

The guy proceeded to carry the bags from the front of his house downhill to his backyard two bags at a time. Took a break to sell more crack and carried the pallet to the backyard too after he had carried all the concrete.

He was on SSI Disability for a bad back. Called the fraud investigator and he said there was nothing they could do about it. I told him that I had it on video and he said there was still nothing they could do if a Doctor signed the diagnosis.

Total fraud! I saw it all the time. Get in a half mile foot pursuit over fences and over all kinds of obstacles. Fill out the arrest sheet and ask if they work anywhere. Nope, I am on disability for a bad back or bad nerves.

Makes me mad to even think about it again!

“Makes me mad to even think about it again!”

And it’s even a hotter stream of piss in the face when the SSI leach is an illegal.

Any photos of her so we can determine guilt or innocence? Actually thievery like this. Stealing from the public treasury.... I would put a foxy girl in jail.

“needed a cane to walk or climb stairs”

Maybe she was in a three-legged race?

I told him that I had it on video

Post it on You-Tube. When it goes viral the investigator will discover he can do something after all.

Shades of ROSIE RUIZ(sp?)

One of the wags commented after the race that ‘they should have known something was up, she didn’t look half dead when crossing the finish line”

for ‘refresher’ Rosie kinda took the Subway in the Boston Marathon.
