Los Angeles - No doubt Sammy Hagar, a former lead singer for Van Halen, has enjoyed a lot of far out experiences in life, but on Monday, the rocker told perhaps his farthest out tale to MTV. He was abducted by aliens. Or, at least, his brain was. (Snip) Hagar laughs and goes on to explain that a passage in the book described as a dream in which he is contacted by aliens from outer space in California was, in fact, reality. The tale describes how the beings tapped into his mind through a wireless connection.

No, -weird- is Harry Reems becoming a Christian and real estate agent.
Now that’s funny!
“Thats still not as weird as David Lee Roth becoming an EMT.”
I’m just a gigolo....
I’m just an EMT....
Yes that is weird..
ice man has come to town.
1-2-3 lock box.
In between the tequila and Eddie, there's at LEAST five aliens in this photo, right????
I’m betting the Mezcal worm was the culprit.
“Right now.... (Dave wishes he had his old job back)”
Don’t wanna wait ‘til tomorrow
Why put it off another day?
One by one, little problems
Build up, and stand in our way. Oh
One step ahead, one step behind it
Now ya gotta run to get even
Make future plans I’ll dream about yesterday, hey!
Come on turn, turn this thing around
(Right now) Hey! It’s your tomorrow
(Right now) Come on, it’s everything
(Right now) Catch your magic moment
Do it right here and now
It means everything
Miss a beat, you lose a rhythm
An nothin’ falls into place. No!
Only missed by a fraction
Slipped a little off your pace. Oh!
The more things you get, the more you want
Just trade in one for another
Workin’ so hard to make it easy
Whoa, got to turn. Come on, turn this thing around
(Right now) Hey, it’s your tomorrow
(Right now) Come on, it’s everything
(Right now) catch that magic moment
Do it right here and now
It means everything
Said a lie to me
Right now
What are ya waitin’ for? Oh! Yeah!
Right now
(Guitar Solo)
(Right now) Hey! It’s your tomorrow
(Right now) Come on, it’s everything
(Right now) Catch that magic moment
And do it right, right now (Right now)
Oh, right now!
It’s what’s happening
Right here and now
Right now, it’s right now
Oh!
Tell me, what are ya waitin’ for?
Turn this thing around
Looks like he did and not all of his mind came back down, don'tchaknow....
And many drugs.
Kewl lyrics...whose?
I didn’t care for much for the “Sammy Hagar Van Halen.
But his FIRST big exposure with Ronnie (who played on Edgar Winter’s album “They Only Come Out At Night” that had “Free Ride And Frankenstein”) Montrose ROCKED!!
Sammy was the lead singer on these two cuts from the self-titled album “Montrose” (one of my favorites):

On the album cover shown durring the playback, Sammy is on the far right.
Beavis and Butthead, while viewing the video (inspirational lyrics with B&W film with captions “right now he misses his wife” or whatever) - Butthead comments amid this...
“Right now, Dave wishes he had his old job back.”
He thought as the singing “front man” of a band named for the guitarist - he was on his way to a lucrative and long lasting solo career! I hope he is a better EMT than he was a solo artist!
I guess that wasn’t Sammy that I paid to see play in 1992.
It must have been an alien in Sammy’s skin.
I want my money back.
We know. We saw “Heavy Metal”.
Sammy Hagar has seen very few sober days, if any, since the mid-60’s.
This was likely a mezcal-induced hallucination.
he was a great and original front man and his remake of California Girls is classic -- the video, at least.
I think his solo record helped put Joe Satriani on the map, but I might be mistaken about that.
Understand, I was never really a fan. I do give him credit for seeming to get that it was an act.
