I didn’t care for much for the “Sammy Hagar Van Halen.

But his FIRST big exposure with Ronnie (who played on Edgar Winter’s album “They Only Come Out At Night” that had “Free Ride And Frankenstein”) Montrose ROCKED!!

Sammy was the lead singer on these two cuts from the self-titled album “Montrose” (one of my favorites):
