Wisconsin Judge Maryann Sumi & Her (SEIU, AFL-CIO) Political Operative Son
There's nothing like a judge's love for her son to cloud her otherwise-cloudy judgement.

On Friday, unions scored a temporary victory to maintain their ability to collect union dues from Wisconsin public employees when Judge Maryann Sumi (the same judge who refused to order striking teachers back to work in February) issued a Temporary Restraining Order preventing the implementation of Wisconsins new law governing public-sector unions.
Via the Wall Street Journal:
Judge Maryann Sumi said a lawsuit filed by the Dane County district attorney had enough merit for her to issue a temporary restraining order to prevent Secretary of State Doug La Follette from publishing the bill while she reviews the case.
This is a problem. Judge Maryann Sumi should have recused herself entirely from the Wisconsin battle due to her inability to be neutral in this case. You see, Maryann Sumi has a clear conflict of interest. Her son is a political operative who also happens to be a former lead field manager with the AFL-CIO and data manager for the SEIU State Council. Both the SEIU and the AFL-CIO have members who are public-sector employees in Wisconsin. In fact, as a federation, the AFL-CIO can boast of several member-unions that represent public-sector employees. Maryann Sumi is hardly an unbiased judge in the matter.
Jacob Jake Sinderbrand, Sumis son [see page nine here], runs a company called Left Field Strategies, a firm that works on political campaigns.

They don’t want to show their faces. I wonder why.

from the comments section....
“Considering Republican men tend to be girlie men, probably nothing. The GOP surrenders almost as well as the French.”
Funny..yes...true...yeah (And I vote straight GOP)
Here's the judge's son if you really need to see him...
Impeach her. Now.

In Wisconsin, curds don’t fall to far from the vat. :)
I heard WI Sen. Glenn Grothman on a program over the weekend and he clearly stated that the judge Sumi has NO authority to do what she did to slow down this law from being enacted.
It’s the Democratic way - cheat, lie and break the law - the laws to a Dem do not apply.
you owe me a new monitor. THAT was the best laugh today.
You can bet this will come up in Appeals Court.
“A lifelong political activist, Jake Sinderbrand got his start as a volunteer doorknocker, and has years of experience training both volunteers and canvassing staff”

He’s just a precinct walker with a shingle. B-F-D!
The Products listed are: “turf organization”, “phone lists”, “direct mail strategy”, “door and phone scripts”, and “volunteer training”.
That’s lame. anyone can pull voter rolls at the county courthouse. I walk for conservatives that I like too.
It’s simple. You could train a grade school kid to do it.
There, fixed it for you.
It will be just as easy to have another vote which they said they will do. When is the question?
Union-bought judge blocks Wisconsin union law.
As for the judge and her restraining order blocking the bill from becoming law...
The reason she gives is that somehow an open meetings law was violated - a meeting rat lawmakers illegally fled the state not to attend.
Ok. Not a problem... start laying off workers, or declare bankruptcy and renegotiate all contracts for state workers. Face it, the state of Wisconsin is broke!
Click to watch the new Democrat party crash the State Capitol.
Thanks for posting. I sent this to Gov. Walker.
This linked thread didn’t go very far over the weekend, but includes information for donating to Wisconsin reps facing recall, as well as Supreme Court Judge Prosser up for re-election. Without him, the Wisconsin Supreme Court will have enough liberal judges to overturn the bill.

No ACORN experience, but he sounds like a helluva community agitator organizer.
Yes this is a very interesting little detail.
He swears his AFL-CIO and SEIU work has nothing to do with the price of unions in Wisconsin, but he pulled the site anyway.
