To my post linked above. This is Obama, as he is, there is no doubt anymore. You have read the pop psyche books and articles about toxic people, about passive-aggressive personalities, about possessed-by-jealousy stalkers of ex-girlfriends, ex-employers, etc.

Obama is all of that. But worse, unimaginably worse because of the position in which our national delusions and cultural-political-judicial fecklessness, and fate too, have placed him.

He is the most dangerous man of our times, and potentially the most dangerous in History.

He's got the taste of blood now. I wonder how it is affecting him?

Libya is not critical to U.S. interests and I'm skeptical that the 'no-fly zone' will be effective to the point of allowing the rebels to overthrow the Gadhafi regime.

And, if the rebels do overthrow Gadhafi, then what?

It is a very strange situation when al Qaeda, Barack Obama and Sarah Palin (the so-called "Palin Doctrine" trumpeted by Drudge the last few days) are all advocating military action against Gadhafi.

The difference between the three of them is that al Qaeda and the Islamist religious nutjobs are ready to put "boots on the ground" to exploit the power vacuum and secure the eventual victory, Barack Obama is not and I seriously doubt that Sarah Palin is even capable of thinking in such terms.

"Palin couldn't explain why North Korea and South Korea were separate nations. ..... Asked to identify the enemy that her son would be fighting in Iraq, she drew a blank. Later, on the plane, Palin said to her team: 'I wish I'd paid more attention to this stuff'."

The way I see it, the best scenario that the West can hope for might be a stalemate that denies final victory to either Gadhafi or the rebels as a rebel victory leaves a power vacuum that al Qaeda and the Islamist religious fanatics are fully ready to exploit.

The Realpolitik of the matter is that, like Saddam Hussein after the Gulf War, Gadhafi serves a purpose by keeping the Islamist genie in the bottle at a time when the West is not prepared or willing to do so.

Another scenario, would be for the French to assume the role of having the "boots on the ground", deny al Qaeda and the Islamists the ultimate victory and steer Libya towards an outcome that the West can live with. That, of course, will heap anti-colonial Third World scorn upon France but, hopefully, Sarkozy has thought that through.

Other that that, from a Western perspective, a stalemate with no clear winner leaves Western airpower in control of the balance of power on the ground:

Gadhafi is killing civilians?

Air strikes wipe out a tank column or two. Gadhafi calls a unilateral cease fire and behaves himself for a few weeks.

The Islamist religious nutjobs are getting the upper hand?

The West looks the other way as Gadhafi does what he needs to do just as the West looked the other way when Saddam dealt with the 1991 Shiite rebellion that could have brought victory to the Iranian-backed Islamist forces. Once the Islamists are taken care of, the West is shocked, shocked that there are human rights abuses going on and pressure is once again applied to Gadhafi.

Realpolitik is not pretty but it is a reality.

Does the country know the difference between left and right?

No, I don't think so.

I think that a horrid public education system has trained useful idiots to THINK they are informed when they are simply manipulated by Newspeak language.

If only the rich would pay their fair share, then everyone would be able to live a comfortable upper middle class life and have plenty of time off of their government job in National Healthcare serving single mothers.

If only we could eliminate tax breaks for the wealthy, we could erase the deficit and feed the hungry world wide.

If only the peaceful Muslim Palestinians were given their land back their would be peace in the middle east.

If only we could dedicate more money to public schools we could reverse the steady fifty year decline of the 60% that graduate.

The Federal government owes Social Security to the retired, so the money is in a trust fund for that purpose.

See what I mean? Most American don't have the tools to conclude from their own observations which of those statements are true, or what philosophy purports them to be true. They only envy the guy that they think has more than they do, and they act accordingly.

It is easier in the short run (2012) to identify a target with a failure and disaster than to properly educate the electorate to the true results of the left or right.

The taste of blood will be when Qidafi is killed, or deposed to some exile. In a victory is now a very bad outcome because of how Obama will take it — like a cup of blood by the hunter at first hunt of a new type of difficult game,

Boehner’s statement in support of Obama is absurd. It just confirms my concerns that Boehner is an azzhole. We Republicans will rue the day that he was elected Speaker. As Bugs Bunny would say, “What a maroon!”

Can anyone, I mean anyone, tell me who these rebels are and what we can expect from them if they win? My bet is on Muslim extremism.

Haven't you heard? There have already been protests against his vacation there.

Police repress protest against Obama visit with shots of rubber bullets

I guess it is A-Okay to shoot protesters in Rio...just don't do it in Libya.

That taste of blood may lead him to the bible loving, gun toting, Constitution following populace of this Country. After seeing his true colors there is no doubt what he wants his “civilian defense force” for.

Obama isn't seeking power, per se.

What is he seeking?

(a) The Pleasures of the Ultra-Rich: He loves indulging himself and his posse, he seeks pleasure and excessive comforts. That's clear by his lifestyle of the Ultra-rich Presidency.

(b) A Bully's Spite: Obama loves indulging in actions that can only be viewed as motivated by spite. The castigation of the AIG executives, of BP, of Sarah Palin, etc. The "middle finger" face stroke.

(c) Fawning Adulation of the Young, and Pop Culture: This is a clear matter of his record. But there is one thing that overrides them all, the one life-work his has set.

The Unifying Goal: The complete destruction of America, the American Heritage and American Ideals from within. Not his own power -- that's just a means to an end.

Obama may even be suicidal. In the sense of a terror-bomber's suicide. Willing to be killed for the purpose of having one American at another American's throat over Obama's own death.

And that last goal -- of bringing about massive internal strove and civil war, is WHY he wants the civilian defense force. Not for his own dictatorial tyranny. For the greater goal.

Is there a more despotic way to destroy America, not just on the day we fall apart, but in all of the future history? None! To set things up so that America hideously and horribly tears itself apart is how He wants History to record our legacy.

That is the ONLY way to erase the legacy of America's ideals. America, like ancient Rome, like ancient Greece, like ancient Israel, might fail -- but each of those three cultures left a lasting legacy. (And in Israel's case the People live on too.)

Obama works to make the very word "AMERICA" a word describing a state NO ONE would ever want to emulate in any way.

Thanks Clairity.
We all must remember how the left crucified President George W. Bush over a 9 month debate concerning war with Iraq. This debate included multiple UN Resolutions and a Multi-National Force composed of dozens of nations. Many refer to this time of debate as a "rush to war."
And the partisan media shills have been cooing soothing words about this since before it was a decision.

I agree with much of what you say. And I've spent some time wondering if 0bama is the kind of guy that would kill himself taking down this country. I think he might be the type but I'm not sure.

But ultimately I think his Achilles heel is that he is so self-centered, so self-promoting, that all the weirdness he is causing is so clearly associated with him *personally* and NOT with the United States of America. Even the international types can see it. It's not in America's real character to behave this way. This is Barry's doing. When he's gone the world will assume that the US will go back to being the US for better or worse. They may even respect us a bit more having had such a bad example set for them in the little b@sstard-in-chief.

Achilles was a hero, a sterling character, a great man. A legend, but one with somewhere a basis in reality.

Obama is not. But like Achilles, Obama is a man of his time. A man who characterizes his time, a zeitgeist — a spirit of his time. Of our time.

I have no fondness for being a soul and man caught in these times of a Bill Clinton and now an Obama. Yet I should, I must find that way to be fond of our time. To find the proper joy — there is the duty, there is life. Are we measured by those men? I refuse to be, and yet here I am caught in waxing on about a man like an Obama, about Obama and his times.

Make these our times, not his. Paul, you are more a man of these times than Obama or Clinton. I thank you and I thank EVERY Freeper for being the real men and women of OUR times. We are the REAL zeitgeist. Our spirit, by the grace of our dear G-d, shall be for life and for the good memory of those to follow.

It would be news to the British to hear that they did not help us in the Iraq war.

The French were knee deep in corruption with “Food for Oil”.

But Tony Blair was a leader in making the case against Saddam and sending Brits to serve and die in Iraq.

Could this be more Cloward Piven strategy? Spread us thinner and thinner, spending more and more and bring on the ultimate collapse?

Yes. While allowing Brazil to drill for oil In OUR gulf and then making us send more of our dollars to Brazil for oil. Bankrupt the United States. No matter what it takes. Bankrupt them and it will collapse from within. THIS is Obama/Soros and THIS is what your friends and neighbors elected in November of 2008. We are being dismantled...
