Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin suggested Republicans would have fared better in 2008 had she, not John McCain, been the messenger of change for the GOP. I wasnt at the top of the ticket, remember?
Speaking at the India Today Conclave in New Delhi, Palin was asked why Republicans were unable to defeat Barack Obama in 2008. Palin told Aroon Purie, editor of India Today that Obama was able to cast himself as the change candidate, and that things might have gone differently had she been the GOPs presidential candidate. Palin did not suggest that she should have been the nominee.

Well, Sarah forgot to tell J.D. Hayworth that message.
They shouldn’t be allowed to vote if they’re on the take like that.

Re-Elect President Sarah Palin 2016
That’s why Palin is doomed long before she announces, for THE MYTH has sealed up NH, and no one else can seriuously apply.
Fred Thompson was a stalkiing horse for John McPain. The best speech Fred gave in the 2008 cycle was at the convention FOR McPain.
Point well-taken.
I do not underestimate her at all. On another thread, there was talk about hitlary....well, let me go get that link...

So why don’t you like her? Just curious.
This is something we should all be working on.
But aren’t we on the Internet? Is someone so intellectually lazy around here to not go to the tape of her Q and A? That’s what the net is for - for you and me to find out for ourselves information, knowing that first of all somebody will have a bias here or there and we have to weed through it to find the truth- most FReepers read just the headlines on any news item and run with it, which is a shame
Have you not been paying attention, the latest news is that The Myth is in serious trouble with only about 17% approval from voting Republicans, all because of this failed RomneyCare. The media is pushing him just like they did McCain but they just can’t figure out how to factor in the Tea-pubicans.
ANYONE who actually saw the Q&A would KNOW this article was pure bs.
Nor will they. They will stick to their own stupid beliefs about who we are and as usual.....will continue to be the party of unintended consequences.
(sorry, just channeling my Liberal/RINO dark side—I'm better now)
I'm referring to non-political people who never heard of FreeRepublic who 8 months from now start hearing about a Sarah Palin and they decided that just maybe they will vote this year so they start to Google names of candidates.
The average American (not those "around here") only go as far as the headlines in articles. Most Freepers (whether they will admit it or not) would vote for Sarah Palin if she became the nominee. The average American, however, that's the vote we need to get and that's the person who does tend to be intellectually lazy enough not to bother going beyond the headlines.
Sad but true.
HOOAH!
Even I do not believe the way this headline is portrayed.
=)
