NASHUA – Following a community outcry, organizers of a respected women's seminar have retracted their invitation to have actress Jane Fonda speak at the event.
With threats of a possible protest looming, Fonda will no longer serve as the keynote speaker for the New Hampshire Women's Leadership Summit scheduled for June 10 at Nashua Community College.
Last week, several veterans spoke in opposition of Fonda's public appearance in New Hampshire, calling her a traitor and anti-American.

Well, I guess Nashua Community College realized the title of the conferences was the Women’s Leadership Conference and not the Women’s Lead Whore Ship Conference.
Has she ever apologized?

That story about Fonda and the note is a lie. Not that I would put such an act past her, but this never happened. And, IMO, whoever started that story is just looking to discredit those of us who are opposed to America haters like her.
I seriously doubt that a bunch sho wanted Fonda would be the least bit interested in hearing from a patriot like Palin.
It wasn’t until the 90s that I learned about Hanoi Jane and I am also amazed that some disgruntled Viet Nam vet or relative of one hasn’t ever laid a hand on her. I would be for a firing squad for her myself. Maybe a battery of old AA guns just old time’s sake?

There is certainly a lot of truth to that story. The note thing may not have happened, but she very much professed her disdain for the American soldiers (POWs) and made no bones about it - to their faces as she was a great pal to the Commies.
I’ll never forget her engagement out here in Texas about 8 years ago. I was one of the protesters and greeted her limo with my sign “Jane, you ignorant slut!”
The local news were covering the story and the producer saw my sign and told the camera people to be sure and NOT get me on film. :-}

She tried to make a half-hearted apology some years ago during a Barbara Walters interview. Listening to it you can tell she wasn’t sincere. Just about everywhere she goes Veterans will protest her presence and I think she was just trying to make them go away.

During the Vietnam war her movies were still being shown on military base theaters, both in the US and overseas. Go figure!
