Yep, and back in the Carter years all we ever heard was two tankers collided out in the ocean somewhere.
Seemed like it was at least once a week
How convenient to have two tankers collied, but it sure explained why they had to raise the oil prices all that shortage you know. /s.
But, since they have already used up that BIT, it is now the rigs.

Agree. The article also says 30 miles off shore. That slick is maybe 30 meters off shore.
Miles, meters, it's all the same to a lefty.

From the article linked by acoulerfanAccording to a knowledgeable source, the slick was sighted by a helicopter pilot on Friday and is about 100 miles long. A fishing boat captain said he went through the slick yesterday and it was strong enough to make his eyes burn.
Seems to be fairly large.

Based on what scraps I've read, it looks like the blame for this is already going to
W&T Offshore, a Texas company. Odd coincidence with Petrobras in the news, though.

Maybe it is, but that end isn’t anywhere near the Macundo wellhead. I’ll wait for Coast Guard confirmation of the spill and its origins, thanks.
