Mike Pence, RINO, waffles on Hannity (defunding Obamacare)
Posted on 03/17/2011 3:18:31 PM PDT by JimWayne
I was listening to Sean Hannity's program and Mike Pence was on the show. Hannity asked him about the media reports about GOP battling its own right wing. Pence took the side of those NOT supporting the members who want to get rid of the $105B funding of Obamacare. That is, he does not support Bachmann's proposal.
He claimed he wanted to pick a fight, and that in 3 weeks he would be among those delivering the goods. Hannity specifically asked him if he would defund Obamacare in 3 weeks by opposing the $105 billion funding it has now. At this point he waffled and spoke on No Child Left Behind, TARP and Medicare and said that he would be united with other Republicans.
Hannity pushed him but to no avail. All he would say was that GOP would keep its pledge of going back to the 2008 levels.
When Hannity asked him why GOP was not supporting those who wanted to defund Obamacare, he spoke about how they made noises in the media and he praised Boehner and Eric Cantor as great leaders.
I had nothing against Mike Pence until now, but he has shown himself to be a RINO.

We’re all busy back biting all the fairly solid conservatives and the next thing you know McCain wins the primary.

He is less a RINO than most all of our potential candidates.

What is with you people...Mike Pence is NOT a RINO...conservatives here seem to call any and every one who doesn't line up perfectly with them a RINO...this is way over the top...

Were all busy back biting all the fairly solid conservatives and the next thing you know McCain wins the primary.Sometimes I think that those who cry "RINO!" at the mere hint of a suggestion that a candidate may disagree with someone in here are Alinskyesque plants trying to foment division among conservatives.

The headline is accurate, I heard the interview today and have crossed Pence off my list. All I kept think was, Talk Show Host, another good time Charlie hail fellow well met type.
He left me wonder which side he is on and who is paying him. Talk about in campaign mode... that was all he was interested in.
Loser to me.

I am neither a prophet nor the son of a prophet, nor am I a physic...ah...er.....psychic! But for the longest time, while lots of others have been voicing the opinion that Pence could walk on water, there was SOMETHING about him that gave me pause. And you just nailed it! Thanks.

I missed the interview but that surprises me - I know he was one of the 54 Republicans who voted NO on the Continuing Resolution.

Is there anything I can do to help with people that you know, or know about? I am flat out tired of slaving away and having nothing change. I live in WA state, and am both ready to move to a place I can participate, and attempt to make a diff.

It is all regional or local right now. I will ask a friend who is very connected into the TP and see if he has any information on anything in your area. Perhaps you could post an inquiry in the activism section of FR. That should get you the contact info that you need. The TP is the best tool to keep these liberals in line... the liberal elite republican leadership is attacking and complaining about the Tea Party so we must be dropping our bombs all over the correct targets!

Rush has been slamming the republicans for non action and he has said that he has told them (over the years and especially these days) that they risk a viable third party that will destroy the gop and that they do not listen to him... he conjectured yesterday that they are still not listening to his advice. He is no republican party hack. There are no coalitions being built... the leadership hates us... Rush told of a Hampton's party when he was only 4 years into his radio show and how the leadership was pressuring him THEN to get “those Christians... those embarrassing country bumpkins to shut up about social issues like abortion... that they didn't like us and their wives were disgusted with having to come to gatherings where “those southern Bible thumpers” are attending. They want our money, our votes and our silence. No way... I want them retired and out of work permanently... some of them I want investigated and charges brought and justice served where applicable.
