I’ll wait for Shep Smith to burst into tears before becoming concerned.
Like a tsunami, earthquake or volcano erupting?
Sad. What are the people in japan truly looking at. Instant death or prolonged illness’??
Come on, Japan. We're rooting for you!

“What are the facts? Again and again and again what are the facts? Shun wishful thinking, ignore divine revelation, forget what the stars foretell, avoid opinion, care not what the neighbors think, never mind the unguessable verdict of history what are the facts, and to how many decimal places? You pilot always into an unknown future; facts are your single clue. Get the facts!”

REUTER’S STORY is up now:
EU energy chief says Japan reactor “out of control”
(Reuters) - Europe’s energy chief warned on Wednesday of a further catastrophe at Japan’s nuclear site in the coming hours but his spokeswoman said he had no specific or privileged information on the situation.
“In the coming hours there could be further catastrophic events, which could pose a threat to the lives of people on the island,” Guenther Oettinger told the European Parliament.

or days, or weeks or months..............or not. There are so many 'experts' with differing opinions, like a former SecDef once said, "We don't know what we don't know"................
Would love to know his source, but this is not good.
That breached containment pool is going to trigger trouble and there ain’t nothing anyone is going to be able to do to stop it.
Isn’t this the same official who was predicting “apocalypse” a day or two ago? Might have a flair for the dramatic.
Gunther, with all due respect to your umlaut, I’ll listen to the Japanese actually on the ground there and doing their best to fix this problem instead of some hyperventilating EU twerp six thousand miles away who’s hiding under his desk sucking his thumb and mainlining potassium iodide.

We’ve had conflicting reports for days. Plus, there’s no reason at all to think this bozo knows anything about the situation. If you were a Japanese official working on this problem, would you be calling up the EU Energy Commissioner to give him updates, or would you pay attention to business?
DJ EU Energy Chief: Possible Catastrophic Events In Next Hours
BRUSSELS (Dow Jones)—Catastrophic events in Japan cannot be excluded in the next hours because the situation at a nuclear plant there is out of control, the European Union’s energy chief said Wednesday.
“The site is effectively out of control,” Guenther Oettinger, commissioner for energy, told a European Parliament committee. “In the coming hours there could be further catastrophic events which could pose a threat to the lives of people on the island.”
Oettinger also said the statements of the utility operating the distressed plant and those of the Japanese government were starting to differ.

Looks like Japan is trying to get a hundred years of disasters out-of-the-way in a weeks time....it all makes the word catastrophe seem tame.
Gunther bought his puts on the Nikkei yesterday, and is hoping the pay off by the weekend!
He probably has only slightly more clarity on what’s going on in Japan than the main-stream media does. Being an Brussels Eurocrat, he also certainly has some strong ideological view or political position to support.
Given those 2 things, I will take his statements with a grain of salt.
*sigh*
