Most Christians in the West aren’t aware that there are arabic speaking Catholic and Orthodox Christians and Jews in the East, muchless that they were calling God “Allah” before the Muslems.
To my understanding it’s like getting mad at German Christians because they and German pagans both use the word “Gott”.

Wrong. The one supreme being is God. All others are false. Allah is Satan.

Secondly, Islamic apologists would spin it as a concession or least an acknowledgement that the God of Islam is on par with the God of the Bible, the great I AM.

1) You are never going to get us to call the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob “Allah.”
2) What is the purpose in trying to get us to?
3) Do you think they are going to refer to Allah as Jesus of Nazareth?

The name of the Dutch bishop (retired), btw, is “Tiny Muskens”, which sounds like a congenital defect.

I'm just pointing out to the apparently ignorant, that "Allah" was (and still is)used by Christians to refer to God, centuries before Mohammed was even born, and centuries before anyone used the word "God".
