COLUMBUS, Ga.— Aflac has fired Gilbert Gottfried, the comedian who is the voice of the insurer's quacking duck in the U.S. Gottfried, who has voiced the duck in numerous commercials since 2000, posted a string of mocking jokes about the earthquake and tsunami in Japan on Twitter over the weekend.
"I just split up with my girlfriend, but like the Japanese say, 'They'll be another one floating by any minute now," he tweeted Saturday.

I stumbled onto this atrocity this weekend when watching some comedy routines on YouTube. After watching this, I'm glad that he got fired. That is one sick human being.
I remember him as one of the cast members of the “new SNL” in 1980. I don’t remember him talking like he does now, with the “Aflac” voice. He must have found his schtick later, and it made him rich.
BTW, I just don’t get the “Aristocrats” joke. OK, I get that you tell as vile a story as possible, I get that it is designed to shock you with vulgarity, but I don’t understand the punchline “What’s the name of your act?” “The Aristocrats”. Supposedly it’s an OLD joke, but I don’t understand it.
Gilbert messed up. Everyone knows that ducks don’t Tweet, they Quack.
Voice actor. If you ever seen those O'Henry candy bar commercials in the 80s, it was him.
Also had a small role in "Beverly Hills Cop." Not sure if it was I or II.
Also was in Disney's Aladdin and is the voice of some PBS cartoon too.
I think he was also in Duckman.

I didn’t get the joke either but I have no intention of listening to it again to see if I can figure it out. I’m ashamed that I listened to it the first time but after having to put up with that filth, I was hoping for a good punchline.
