One reason is there are no Democrats there. I will not touch the racist reason which is so very obvious everybody knows it, after all Japan is not Detroit or New Orleans or...

Why no looting?

Japanese merchants always had fair prices for their merchandise? Customers were never abused by racist merchants?

The looting in the 1960s was dismissed by some MSM employees as customers picking up merchandise that they had paid for on the layaway plan.. to wit, the evil racist merchants had overcharged customers for decades. The overcharging was actually payments on merchandise of the customer's choice.

I am not making this up. I really did hear this on network TV "news" reports.

Good comparison and good reason why we shouldn’t paint everyone with a broad brush.

Well I think the Blacks need to figure out that “This crap ain’t workin” Whites are not against the color but the attitude. All the anti black comments I ever hear are about the Great Society welfare crap. How could the American Blacks ever have let this happen to themselves?

I agree with most of the sentiment here that it is their “Japanese-ness”. However, looking at the various photos, what is left to loot?

I think there’s probably is looting, just that its not the F?#@king media’s focus, to attack other fellow citizen when theres more important issues to discuss, like how to save the remaining citizen that are alive

Very true. The best and over used analogy is the plantation. Massah got replaced by government. Why they weould rebel from massah and desire freedom to support themselves, but not rebel against government and want t osupport themselves is the question. The anser of course is obvious. Massah required work or something paid back for his support, the government doesn't.

If you could get paid to sit home and do nothing, wouldn't you? Heck you could even get a side job that paid cash and rake in the money. If the government would demand something back, I think a lot of the deadbeats would get off the system. And to be fair, there are a lot of non blacks milking the system, too and for the same reason. Why turn down free money?

Because ever since MLK was killed, they have had the likes of Sharpton, Farrakhan, Jesse Jackass et al, poisoning their minds telling them that they are not at fault for all the bad decisions and choices (and eventual bad outcomes that arose from them) that they made, because it was all part of Whitey's Master Plan to keep them down. MLK preached for black folks to earn their own respectability, not for it to be handed to them. He preached for them to work hard and make something of themselves, not become wards of the state looking for the next "guvmint" handout. For the poverty pimps, keeping black folk poor and racist was good for business. All three have become millionaires doing it. It boggles the mind.

They are the ultimate predators. And they are preying on their own race of people. It's is beyond despicable. And I firmly believe that all three of these "reverends", and I use that term VERY LOOSELY, will be severely judged by their Maker for it on their Judgment Day.

Well the Blacks better get a grip because they are being led to the cliff. I am getting ready to start in working with the Innocence Project as a retirement ‘something to do’. The devastation is so apparent in the criminal justice system overload. The Libs have destroyed Black Americans. The forced integration has caused more segregation than the KKK could have ever wanted.

How could the American Blacks ever have let this happen to themselves?

What's remarkable is just how quickly it happened, seemingly almost overnight.

I'm probably among the older posters here on FR. So I well remember Jim Crow laws, separate restrooms and drinking fountains as well as segregated railcars, cafeterias and lunch counters. This is not ancient history to me. I lived through it. I also recall when Governor Wallace's segregation speech was roundly applauded by many good Christian people.

Then, the pendulum took an extreme swing the other way in the early to mid 1960's. Affirmative action, entitlement programs, dysfunctional black families then became the norm.

I really don't even remember a brief period post-Jim Crow when things reached a happy medium. It seems like we overnight went from "Segregation today, segregation tomorrow, segregation forever" to the mess we have now.

Anyone else approaching 70 with a different take?

Yep. Me too. I think it started with the Black Muslims. And the Great Society. JFK assassination. Combined with Nixon and his trip to China.

And the racism pendulum has swung all the way to the other side. In the 50’s and 60’s and part of the 70’s one could say, and rightly so, that whites were the racist ones and they outnumber racist whites probably 5 or 10 to 1. But not any more. Thanks to the poverty pimps, it is now blacks who are the racist ones. And yet when they are called on it, they are spring loaded to the “race card” game. When Obama was running, if you spoke out against him, it could not POSSIBLY be beacause you hated his politics, it HAD to be that you were RACIST, and spoke out against him because he was black. And for the record, Obama is NOT BLACK. He’s a MULATTO. He’s in the same boat as Tiger Woods, the only difference is that Tiger has class and will admit to being biracial, not black. But being half black would never have gotten Obama the political mileage being “black” has gotten him.It is all part of the spin, half truths and utter fabrications that have been part of his existence since the beginning.

Quite right. It's not RACE that's the issue, it's the entitlement ATTITUDE that's the issue.
