The landscape of parts of Japan looks like the aftermath of World War Two; no industrialised country since then has suffered such a death toll. The one tiny, tiny consolation is the extent to which it shows how humanity can rally round in times of adversity, with heroic British rescue teams joining colleagues from the US and elsewhere to fly out.

Japanese focus on race and cultural homogeneity. More so than almost any other country I have been in, Japanese are aware of their common culture, history, language, and yes - race. There is the notion, somewhere in their minds, that they are part of a larger “family.”
Not only are the Japanese civilized but look how they prepare and present their food. Meticulous, clean and appetizing. That is a result of their culture and it has a tremendous carryover into their society in general.
Perhaps it is the only place in the world where you would see this behavior.
It is shocking to me but not surprising. God Bless them.
One official in Japan - don’t remember his capacity - said that this had happened to Japan because they got greedy.
Now they have to deal with the possibility of getting nuked again.

It is because there is no Black Welfare System to get votes. Did that help? Also no Rap Music. They do not wear their pants on the ground? Watts is in L.A.? Whups not PC. But true.
Because they are Japanese and not (someplace else)-Japanese.
Let’s just say that Japan disproves the “diversity is our strength” crapola. In spades.
Japan will come through this OK. They have had harder times and they work together and they are not having a PC War within. In fact they might end up better.

All the looters are still in Wisconsin with their knickers in a twist. They were planning on going to Japan, but couldn’t figure out how to get there by bus.
And the petty thugs over there can’t get guns, average people can’t get guns. I would say almost all of the average citizens would not use them to loot or steal.
They are civilized, they largely are homogenous (one race), everyone not Japanese is gaijin. They hide personal problems, weakness, etc.
C’mon.
It is because the people over there are literate, understand law and have some common sense. We can talk of mores. They recognize that someone, one of them had to work and earn their accumulations by honest sweat, scrimping and saving. Their culture who has a history of respect, they respect that. Unlike Holders “people”
