Obama: Learn from my mistakes
Politico44 ^ | 03/14/11 | ABBY PHILLIP

At Kenmore Middle School in nearby Arlington on Monday, President Obama instructed students to do as he says, not as he did back when he was a trouble-making middle-schooler.

"I've got a confession to make," Obama said. "This probably is right about the time I was at my worst. I was getting in trouble all the time. I was in the principal's office all the time."

Obama's teen-aged misadventures have been well chronicled in his memoir "Dreams of my Father," and they seemed to last well into his college days. At Occidental College in the ’80s, Obama apparently picked up a bit of a pot-smoking habit, which he later famously owned up to. "I inhaled frequently," he said.

On Monday, he instructed the puberty-stricken boys not to get ... "a little distracted."

He wants to reform education.

He can start by getting government and the unions out of the schools.

But that would be too logical. Much better to continue pouring taxpayer dollars down the black hole.

He has to go in 2012.

No, Oboingo, I would say NOW is right about when you're at your worst.

You didn't have a whole country to screw up back then.

Mr. President, when did you stop smoking cigarettes, smoking pot, and doing coke? Since you did all that and still became president, then I should be able to do just what you did, and as long as you did it, and I can still be successful like you are, right?

So, we’ve learned in the last week or so that Barry was bullied because of his funny name and big ears. Now we’re learning that he was a discipline problem in school.

Over the weekend he took his 61st golf outing and taped a radio message honoring women’s history week. He goes to Gridiron dinners and yuks it up.

The Mid East is blowing up; the dollar is in the toilet; gas prices continue to rise threatening to undermine what little recovery there is. Unemployment rates are not declining. Japan is on its knees and not likely to be buying any more US bonds to pay for our out of control spending. The budget process is a shambles. North Korea and China are building weapons systems directed at us. Ditto Iran.

What we have is the incredible shrinking president. He is becoming the most irrelevant individuals in that office in the last one hundred years. I think the American people are beginning to just ignore him.
