Just when you think that our govern ment can't get any sillier, along comes something like the Military Leadership Diversity Commission -- and let's face it, up to now you didn't even realize such a thing existed -- to crush your hopes that any sensible people are left in Washington, DC.
The diversity commission last week issued its completely unawaited report to call for, you guessed it, more diversity among military leadership. Not great fighting effectiveness, which should always be job No. 1. Not smarter leadership. Not braver fighting generals and fewer rear-echelon paper-pushers.
No, what this country really needs from the Pentagon is better diversity management, including a chief diversity officer reporting directly to the defense secretary.
It seems the problem is -- wait for it -- that the officer corps has too many white males. This, of course, will come as a shock to George Washington, U.S. Grant, Black Jack Pershing, George Patton and Dwight D. Eisenhower, who somehow managed to struggle through to victory without the accumulated wisdom of the Military Leadership Diversity Commission, created by the Pelosi-Reid Congress in 2009.
"The commission believes that the diversity of our service members is the unique strength of our military," writes the chairman, Lester Lyles, to President Obama, in a cover letter for the report. "Current and future challenges can be better met by broadening our understanding of diversity."
Hold it right there.

It seems at times it’s very overrepresented.
Well, we’d hate to have effective leadership in place when we can have a diverse leadership instead.

Heck, Mass governor, Duval Patric( Obama Mini-Me ) failed his bar exam 3 times. This is after being a affirmative action drag along pet at Harvard.( He was a petite, safe black ), and thus being properly credentialed, and dumb as a brick proceed to sue his way through wimpy, white, corporate American ( Jesse Jackson inside tactic ) to become a very wealthy man.
So, what few black males are going to go into the Army when all that swag is out there for the few that can walk and chew gum at the same time?

The US military does not need greater diversity. It needs an ever more excellent system for identifying and promoting its best leaders. Those leaders can be any race, so long as they are the best, their troops follow, and they win.
The military is not about diversity. It is ONLY about WINNING the nation’s wars. In war, there are no second chances.

Obama just lowered the police exam so more Blacks could join. Now, he wants more Blacks in the Armed Forces. 95% support Obama(even now that we know he is an idiot).
Ok, we are mostly military here. Why would el Presidente want to stack all American enforcement orgs with Black people?

We got diversity at the White House and look what that got us. Higest unemployment, rising gas costs, rising food costs, more debt and zero leadership. Yeah lets screw the military up like we xcrewed up our government........
Politicians such as Charlie Rangel say that minorities are unfairly targeted by the military for enlistment and therefore we need a draft. My son enlisted in the Army last year, his MOS is Infantry. I will say that when attending his graduation, it was 90% white, the other 10% black and hispanic. Even at his duty station, it is the same. In fact, most are country boys, midwest, south and western states.
If as this article says, combat is what gets you promoted, then will these diversity officers force minorities to the combat units? Probably not, they will exempt them instead.
What is it that they dont’ understand? You cannot FORCE people to join the military, become cops, fireman, doctors, etc.
The BEST way to combat all this diversity crap is to get rid of entitlements and affirmative action so that people will have to actually work towards something.
