Sarah Palin has played the sexism card, accusing critics of chauvinism against a strong woman.
She has played the class card, dismissing the Bush family as “blue bloods,” and complaining that she is the target of snobbery by people who dislike her simply because she is “not so hoity-toity.”
Most famously, she has played the victim card—never more vividly than when she invoked the loaded phrase “blood libel” against liberals and media commentators in the wake of the Gabrielle Giffords shooting.

But the more they scream that palin is nothing, palin is stupid, they start to look like the great and powerful oz on the screen, telling us to pay no attention to the man behind the curtain.

Retraction Request: Politico’s Jonathan Martin Smears Palin with False Facts
In his piece today entitled “Sarah Palin is wreaking havoc on the campaign trail, GOP sources say,” Politico’s Jonathan Martin (who was tasked with the Republican Party beat for the website for the 2008 elections) falsely claims Sarah Palin backed out of a scheduled interview with talk-radio host Mark Levin:
According to a source familiar with the situation, she backed out of planned interviews with conservative talk-show hosts Sean Hannity and Mark Levin the morning she was scheduled to talk to them.
Levin contested this claim on his facebook page, and has asked Politico to retract this statement:
This is a flat out lie. Sarah Palin never backed out of any interview with me. Period. And John Martin, the reporter, never contacted me to ask me directly. I insist on a retraction.
Red State seconded the request. Allow us to be third.
Martin came under scrutiny in the blogosphere during the 2008 campaign for leading the investigation into the personal life of Joe the Plumber. From Newsbusters:

Martin conveniently forgot to mention that the law doesn’t require one.

Eric Woolson, spokesperson for Senator Chuck Grassley’s campaign, for the record said, that the anonymous source “does not represent the Senator’s views.” So evidently Senator Grassley was not displeased with any interaction they had with the Palin camp.

It is sheer paranoia to link Romney to this (and I don’t care for him).

Mitt has been laying the institutional ground work for years. And, not at the popular level. He was and is the GOP/RNC Poohbahs favorite. He’s a Harvard law/MBA. He’s corporate with out any of that bitter clinger low rent stuff. None of the elitists have to have orders. They know what to do, with out being told.
I don’t like liver, so that works for me. ;^)
