DURHAM, N.H. — Rick Santorum on Friday asserted that Sharia law has no place in America.
“Jihadism is evil and we need to say what it is,” he said at the Strafford County Lincoln-Reagan dinner, remarks that show how the former Pennsylvania senator continues to establish himself as the candidate most-aligned with the Republican Party’s conservative base.
“We need to define it and say what it is. And it is evil. Sharia law is incompatible with American jurisprudence and our Constitution.”
Santorum, invoking New York Rep. Peter King’s hearing this week on the alleged radicalization of American Muslims, said that the “vast majority” of Muslims don’t want to it either.
“They left because of Sharia law,” he said, referring to why he believes Muslim immigrants left their home countries to come to the United States.

I don’t think you need to call him Captain Obvious however funny or sarcastic you might think that is. The point here is HE is the ONLY ONE saying it OUT LOUD. He’s NOT being politically correct. He’s being real and telling people exactly what it is. He is right and he is to be commended.
Unfortunately, there are people who STILL sit on their hands and go along without reading, getting the news and the facts about something. They just live in their own little world with little knowledge of what is going on around them. How many times have you seen a reporter hit the streets to ask questions about politics and places??? They should just go back out on on the streets now and ask the question: “What is Sharia.” Wouldn’t we all be surprised at the answers!
That’s okay. We all get what I call ‘crazy-hurried’ at times.
They just can't help but rush to Twitter, to communicate by twisted headline the latest "evidence" justifying their irrational fear and hatred of Conservativism above every other existential threat. Forget trying to educate the liberals into perceiving their error. Instead, use their prejudice agaisnt them.
The headline sounds self-evident only to those with eyes open, those who cannot shut their eyes, but from liberal to liberal, is evidence of "bigotry."
It's a proven method, by the way, used by Ronald Reagan and often deliberately by the late Senator Helms of North Carolina, whose "controversial" statements would be repeated far and wide by a liberal punditry, mistakenly assuming the controversy would hurt the Senator. It would instead continue resonating with his intended audience, garnering Helms the highest percentage of African-American vote, for example, of any Republican statewide candidate in North Carolina since Reconstruction.
Apparently it can't be repeated enough, since so few Republicans seem willing to accept it. Being a RINO is no proof, none whatsoever, of gaining the respect of liberal asshats. Embrace the facts, and instead use it to your advantage. First and foremost, "abandon all illusion of media sympathy."

What Santorum said is analogous to saying that feces stink. The fact that no one else says it out loud, doesn`t mean that they think it doesn`t.

damn straight!!...and there’s millions of us who have been waiting for a pol with guts to say this....ultimately the survival of this country is going to come down to confronting ISLAM....everybody knows this...but pols won’t say it...the MSM won’t say it....the academy won’t say it...Hollywood won’t say it.

Well, even on this site, there are people (probably well-intentioned) saying that pre-emptive outlawing of Sharia at the state level (such as OK and TN), somehow violates the First Amendment. I cannot, for the life of me, figure out how the First Amendment protects what is a parallel legal system to the one established by the Constitution...but others somehow do??

That’s not the point. In England NO ONE will speak up either way, and they now have a parallel Sharia system. Keeping quiet is, in effect, the same as saying it’s a good thing. Because the end result is the same (as in England).

One more thing, as pointed out by another, read the comments on Politico on this article...80% of them seem to have absolutely NO CLUE as to what Sharia is, and they seem much more concerned that we might have Christians in positions of power in the United States.
It is FAR, FAR AWAY from being obvious to most Americans.

Yes. It appears there is massive naivete when it comes to what Shariah law really means.
As written in the Quran, Shariah is the law of Allah. Any other form of government is a sin. It is the duty of every Muslim to keep striving until all governments have been converted to Shariah law.Islam will be at war with the non-Islamic world until the whole world follows Shariah law.

No they won’t but the really ironic part of the whole thing is...all those who WON’T say it so they can be cool or whatever the heck else is their reasoning...don’t realize once Islam takes over...they won’t care about all of those who were PC.
